When you really want to make people's lives more convenient, this is sure to work. For the last 3 years, traffic jams have been slowly but surely drowning for the return of two-way traffic on Masterkova Street, which was removed there "temporarily", about 15 years ago, during the construction of the Third Ring Road. But temporarily is a loose concept.

And now, it has happened, for a month now people have been able to drive along a small but very important street in two directions.

And before, there was only a dedicated lane to meet, because of which drivers were forced to wind up decent and illogical circles.

Now the traffic pattern is convenient for everyone. On Masterkova in the direction of Vostochnaya Street, due to the change in lanes, 3 lanes were left to the intersection in order to ensure maximum throughput. AT reverse side despite the return two-way traffic, the selected band has been preserved, just another one has been added to it for common use. Here is the diagram, clickable.

On East Street, two wide rows were made one more, and two of them towards the intersection for maximum bandwidth. On Leninskaya Sloboda, they also made 5 out of 4 wide rows!

Now for a few problems. There are two of them. The first concerns Leninskaya Sloboda Street near the Omega Plaza office center: it’s just a disaster here due to the sharp narrowing of 2 rows into 1. As a result, the tail instantly rolls up to the intersection with Masterkov and blocks it. There is essentially only one quick and efficient option: remove the parking lot from here. right side. Yes, it is unpleasant, but the movement will be restored. Do you support?

The second problem is the repair of the Avtozavodsky bridge on the Third Ring Road. Gormost immediately blocked 2 lanes in each direction for traffic, due to which a) traffic jams stretched not only to Treshka and adjacent streets (Avtozavodskaya, Leninskaya Sloboda), b) traffic was seriously reorganized throughout the city center, the load increased even by Garden Ring road. This horror, unfortunately, will last for several more months, and is not particularly subject to acceleration. It is only unclear why the repair of the bridge was started in November, and not in the warmer season.

But this is temporary, and Masterkova is now bilateral forever)
