Hi all!

Yesterday I went out onto the balcony and realized that this is the "headquarters"!
And not just a headquarters, but a really cool HQ)
I immediately remembered my childhood golden and ruddy.
How much the magic words "headquarters", "house", "cabin", "hut", "refuge" meant for every boy and for sure the girls))
In general, while mom was not at home, we quickly threw out all the extra boxes, the old table, put all the rubbish in the pantry and got a cool sunny room.
So that the enemies could not track us, they pulled ropes, covered a sheet on top, hung a sail, laid sports mats on the floor, dragged books about adventures and, of course, fixed a lantern under the roof, because you can read only by the light of a lantern ...
All is ready. The guy now lives on the balcony) ...
Me too.

May is ahead, which means that a dacha awaits us.
He shared his experience in building different types of huts and headquarters for children and not only, which any dad can build, even with crooked hands.
I don’t promise step by step instructions, but I think something will come in handy

Have a good working holiday everyone!

1. Headquarters "home"

Let's start with it, if we recently built it ourselves. Everything is elementary here, but it is necessary to build it)

"House"
We take a rope between two objects, throw a blanket over it, fix the corners. Ready. You can climb.
Construction time 10 minutes

"Furniture"
We find a free corner in the room, move the sports complex there, if any, move a table or chair, if any. We cover with a sheet. And it's done again.
Construction time 20 minutes.

"Balcony"
Here we allocate a whole room for the headquarters. We throw out everything superfluous.
We decorate: ropes, lianas, stones, flowers (more), cover the floor with warm mats, install glazing (ideally) ... in general, we fill the balcony with all sorts of cool stuff that has nothing to do with TV boxes and household appliances, bicycles, etc.
We designed barometers, maps, paintings, etc. under the cabin of the ship, choose some idea and go ahead.
Yes, it's ready.
Now it is the citadel of the country Childhood.
You will be invited to visit.
Adults are not allowed to enter :)

And also a cool bed in the subject until I lost the photo)

Recommendations:
1. The space should be closed, it's more comfortable. Something is laid on the floor - a blanket or mats.
2. The light inside should be dimmed, it's even more comfortable) A flashlight is required.
3. The height to the ceiling is just below the height of the child - another confirmation that this is the place of the baby, and not dad or mom.
4. We need all sorts of entourage things: an old telephone, a radio, a coconut, alpine ropes for rescue, a bottle for a map, etc. In general, the child himself will figure out what to do with it)
5. The headquarters should be made collapsible or non-collapsible. The main thing is that he was.

2. Hut in the garden

It is better to do it in the country or in a safe place, otherwise you can one day find living homeless people there.
I do not recommend a wigwam system, to make it cool you need too much material and it is difficult to fix it, and a translucent hut is not ice. There is a general problem with the bonfire in the center of the headquarters. The required dimensions, height and angles of inclination are difficult to find, and otherwise the smoke will not go away.
Therefore, we make a classic hut a "house", it is most convenient to spread branches on it.
I also recommend buying a special camouflage net in a store for fishermen, folding it into a couple of layers, you can solve the problem of finding branches with greenery. Since after 2 weeks even the freshest ones become knots, fire safety, aesthetics and comfort immediately suffer.
In general, you understand.
The fastest way to solve this problem is with the help of 50x50 bars and an inch, it will be more of a house than a hut, but you won’t have to look for the right trees.

Recommendations:
1. Dimensions height 1.5 m, width 2 m, length 3 m
2. You can immediately pull a double camouflage net onto the frame (sold in pieces of 6x4 m, just convenient), you can replace it with a green tourist tent, also inexpensive. Decor with branches is best done already inside. We are not barbarians to cut down the forest)
3. Outside, be sure to dig around the perimeter so that it doesn’t flood after the rain, choose a place next to the trees, do not forget to lay out a fireplace with stones outside, what is a hut without a fire? Set up a bucket of sand and water in advance)
Suddenly, dad is going to kindle a pioneer fire ...)

3. Playground around the tree

The only thing is that it is better to make full-fledged connections, and not braces like in the photo.

The scheme is in the subject, only here with embedding in the foundation, but I suggest not to bathe and just make cross connections. Then it will be hard and strong. Well, and the railing at the ladder.

Children climb trees no worse than monkeys) I think everyone remembers their exploits in childhood.
My best memories are of the big trees where the guys and I built platforms and pulled ropes between them to get from tree to tree. In general, it was business.

Now, looking at it as a parent and thinking about safety, I prefer two options.
Or choose a solid branching tree and hang the railing around the perimeter yourself from a usually static climbing rope 8-10 mm
But we don’t have such an oak - a dream in the garden.
Or make a platform ala "stool" at a height of 1.5 meters about 2x2 in size according to the columnar system AROUND any garden tree with a high crown.
This option is not at all difficult, it is done in half a day.

Recommendations:
1. Materials (all in mm)
4 bars 100x100 (or stitched 150x50) 3 m long (1.5 m to the bottom beam, then the platform itself with a flooring of 175 mm and the rest of the railing)
By the way, you can do it with a roof, but this is already a house and not every tree will allow it. Well, the day will be more difficult to manage.
6 boards 150x50 for beams 2 m long (step in the center approx 700 mm) for two intermediate beams take reinforced corners on both sides larger
8 boards 150x40 or bars 70x70 to choose from for cross ties 2.5 m long
10 boards 200x25 ("inch") 2 m long for the floor
16 bars 50x50 for railings 1.2-1.5 m high of your choice (in increments of 300 mm)
3 boards 150x50 3 m long for the ladder
2 bars 50x50 4 m long for the inclined railing of the ladder (can be cut to 2 m to fit into the trunk)
10 bars 50x50 450 mm long for ladder steps
Total: in total, this is less than a half-cube of forest
For money, along with fasteners of 5 tr, it’s easy to get in, you will also be sawed at the base.
Don't forget to buy 3l Pentotext Ultra so that everything doesn't fade. I like the color "autumn maple")))

2. Assembly
Under each we lay on a silicate brick, this is more than enough. It is not worth fencing columnar foundations, we will be simpler)
We use horizontal beams 150x50, a section of 100 mm is not enough.
Actually we tie them around the perimeter. Fasten with 120 mm nails plus mounting brackets reinforced from below with 70 mm screws.
On nails - because children will jump, and screws do not like such a load, they can cut off, and nails work well for bending.
And the corners are sacred, as they say) Then we can
Do not forget to make 2, and preferably 4 (if the tree branches do not interfere) intermediate beams, so that the whole family can gather at the headquarters.
Fastened at the corners to the perimeter beams.
Then cross connections are made so that the structure is rigid. It's a must, you can't miss it. This is not a chair for you, here the lever is solid.
Then on top we sew a flooring from an inch. We make railings in increments of about 300 mm so that children do not fall down from above.
It remains only to throw the ladder, make sloping railings and process the whole family together with impregnation. It is not necessary to paint, impregnation conveys the texture of wood better and more efficiently.

3. Optional
From such a platform, if you completely disperse, you can already make a slide, bungee or jump into the pool, it’s already a matter of dad’s imagination. Most importantly, without fanaticism.
Do not forget to dilute more decorations so that there is no nakedness. The branches of the tree will help you, you can hang excellent Chinese lanterns on them or lower various creepers. In general, fantasy, go ahead!

4. Tree house.

This is a childhood dream.
Thank God, I fulfilled it and my boyfriend and I have a place to go to such a house.
We managed to build a whole pirate base, but that's another story.
The main thing is that this is more than possible if you have solid trees on the site.
Such a structure will decorate a site more abruptly than a new swing from Ikea or a pool.
The queue of children and guests will not dry out, so you need to be more careful notifying friends about the construction of the century))

Recommendations:
1. Size matters. The diameter of the trunk at the height of the platform is 25 - 35 cm. More or less is bad. Mostly hardwoods are suitable: birch, pine, oak, etc. Linden and poplar are fragile, not worth it.
2. The tree must be healthy, it is not worth killing the sick with an additional load, and the healthy one will not even notice.
3. It is better to fasten the structure on screeds due to friction and racks from the ground, it is not worth collective farming and pounding nails into a tree. It smacks of barbarism, and it doesn't work well.

Pay attention - this platform hangs due to friction. There are no nails in the tree.
Although experience shows that nails are not at all terrible for a large tree.
Big knots are always good, but lay with something so that the bark is not rubbed. From this, the tree can just die.
Another pic of the mount. The barrel diameter is a perversion, but the method is working.

4. It is best to use a group of trees, then you can make transitions between different sites or build a large full-fledged house, this is not difficult, but very, very cool.
5. There are many nuances of materials in the network, not very many, but it is worth going to the rope parks to see the implementation. Well, or write.
6. You should definitely make all sorts of cool transitions through the nets, ropes, it's very cool for children, although it's bloody in execution. Use a polymer rope, not a rope, it does not wear out and does not age in the sun.
7. Do not save on lighting, it will be a garden decoration and a child's dream.
8. The optimal height is 3-4 meters, more is possible and even two-level ones are possible, but it is better to fence with an experienced team, the first house is better to be simpler, so that later the trees do not have to be planted again.
9. Draw a plan of what you plan to build. It’s better not to do this on your knee.)) At least take a picture of the place from different sides and make a sketch on the pictures. Use a tape measure and a level)) It's almost like "plant a tree and build a house" at a time. We must try!
10. Good luck!

Also, you can build it like this :)

...and live there with the whole family!

Or swing like this)

But definitely I am for building with my own hands, purchased is not an option.
It's a blessing to be part of this process!

5. I haven’t forgotten yet, but in winter you need to make an IGLU or a snow cave)

If such a party has gone, I’ll tell you right away, I can forget before winter.
A very cool thing, it's a pleasure to build if there is at least 20-30 cm of fresh snow.
It's rare these days, but still. In the evening at the dacha, immediately after the snowfall, we run out into the street and with the whole family we trample down a snowy meadow with a diameter of 15 meters.
Then we leave it until the morning, and in the morning we cut out clear blocks with a size of about 30x20x20, or more with a shovel.
And we begin to lay out the vaulted structure in a circle, gradually bringing everything to the center. It turns out a classic vault.
We wake up the joints with fine snow, leave to freeze overnight. Then we saw the entrance with a saw and lay out the arch of the opening (without fanaticism).
Ready. Hooray! We climb in. This is family happiness.
Do not forget to put tourist foams in a couple of layers there, you don’t need to freeze your ass.

The cave is made easier. You just need to cut it out or cut it with a shovel in a huge snowdrift.
These are usually found on the cornices, if you are lucky and the cottage is near the mountain.
I solved the problem in a simpler way. After the first high-quality snowfall in mid-December, I ordered two KAMAZs of snow from a nearby ice rink when it was being cleared with a loader.
Then he took a chainsaw and sawed everything he wanted.
The result was a labyrinth with a cave.
The whole park was happy.
The issue price is a maximum of 5 tr and a bottle for the Kamaz driver.

Actually, I'm exhausted on this.
I hope at least some of the points will be useful to you.
And your kids will have new cool adventures made by their favorite dads and moms!
The level of admiration and respect for children will go off scale :)

Happy May construction everyone!

At the end of the poem on the topic)

Petka and I today
built a hut.
Clothes were pulled into it,
and brought a mattress.
Covered with a blanket.
We made a hole.
While mom is not at home,
we lead our lives.

The flashlight serves us well,
like a chandelier it burns.
We will be in a hut of secrets,
hide yours from everyone.
And this place will be
for Petka, and mine,
one of the most.
The best.
So honorable, necessary,
and the most expensive.

(c) Milena Alexs.

Sincerely,
Denis Davydov

Good day everyone!

Not so long ago, I tried to help an acquaintance find relatives who fought in the Second World War (1941-1945). Oddly enough, we quickly managed to find his grandfather, the number of his unit where he fought, and also looked at several of his awards. The acquaintance was pleased and proud of his grandfather, but I thought ...

I think that after all, almost every family has relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War, and many would like to know more about them (which is why I decided to sketch this article). Moreover, many old people do not like to talk about the front, and it is not uncommon for the family to not even know all the grandfather's awards!

By the way, many people mistakenly believe (and I did until recently) that in order to find at least something, you need to know a lot of information about a person, know how to access archives (and where to go), have a lot of free time, etc. . But in fact, now, in order to try to start a search, it is enough to know the first and last name.

And so, below I will consider several interesting sites in more detail ...

No. 1: The feat of the people

A very, very interesting site created by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It is a large database in which all available documents from the military archives are entered: where and who fought, what awards he received, what feats, etc. Absolutely everything is entered, regardless of the ranks and scale of the feat. I can add that the base of the site has no analogues in size.

Then you will see a list of found people: note that there can be a lot of them if your relative has a common name and surname. Opposite each person will be displayed his year of birth, rank, order, medal (if any).

The card itself displays quite a lot of information per person: rank, place of conscription, place of service, date of the feat (if any), archival documents on the award, registration card, photo of the leaflet describing the feat, medals and orders (example below).

In general, quite informative and complete. I recommend starting your search for a person from this site. If you are lucky and you find information about him here, then you will get pretty decent information to continue your search (you will know the year of birth, the part where he served, where he was called from, etc. details that many people don’t already know about).

By the way, despite the fact that all the basic information has already been posted on the site, from time to time it is updated with new archival data. Therefore, if you did not find anything, try to go in after a while and search again, also use the sites that I will give below.

#2: OBD Memorial

The full name of the site is Generalized Databank.

The main purpose of this site is to enable citizens to find and learn about the fate of their relatives, find out the place of their burial, where they served, and other information.

The Military Memorial Center of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a unique work, as a result of which you can use the reference system of global importance!

The data used to fill the database of this site are taken from official archival documents located in the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Central Naval Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Military Archive, the State Archive of the Russian Federation, etc.

During the work, more than 16.8 million documents, more than 45 thousand passports of military graves were scanned and posted online.

How to search for a person in OBD

Yes, it's pretty standard. On the main page of the site, enter all the information that you know into the search fields. It would be nice to enter at least the first name, last name, and patronymic. Then press the search button (example below).

In the data found, you will see the date and place of birth of a person, by which you can navigate and start viewing the necessary profiles.

In the questionnaire, you can find out the following information: full name, date and place of birth, date and place of conscription, military rank, reason for leaving, date of leaving, name of the source of information, fund number, source of information. And also see the scanned sheet itself with archived data.

No. 3: Memory of the people

Another site with a huge database created by the Department of Defense. The main goal of the project is to enable all users to obtain information about the participants of the Great Patriotic War through new web tools and the development of generalized data banks "Memorial" and "Feat of the people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945."

To start searching for a person, just enter his full name (if any, then another year of birth). Then click the "Find" button.

Next, you will be shown all the people found with similar initials. By opening a card for a person, you will find out: his date of birth, place of conscription, military units, awards, dates of feats, numbers of funds - sources of information, archive, you can see scans for which awards were given.

In addition, on this site you can see what was the path along which your grandfather moved and fought (an example on the map below: the beginning of the journey near Novosibirsk, then Tyumen, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny, etc.).

Note: the map is quite large, and the screenshot below shows a small piece of it.

Where grandfather was and fought - the path on the map!

If you are looking for a burial place for your relatives who participated in the Second World War, I recommend that you also read this article:.

In it, you will learn how to correctly create a request to the archive, how to issue it, and where exactly to send it. In general, very useful information.

Well, that's all for me, I hope it helped, if not found, then at least gave useful "food" to start searching.

  • - passport data of the participants of the future detachment;
  • — texts of laws on search activities;
  • — tourist and search equipment;
  • - a computer with Internet access.

Instruction:

  1. Check out the legal framework. Search activity in Russia is quite strictly regulated. First of all, you need a law "On perpetuating the memory of those who died defending the Fatherland." Search work related to the evacuation of the remains, weapons and military equipment should be carried out in the presence of employees of the FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the military registration and enlistment office. Therefore, it is better to inform these organizations about the proposed creation of a search detachment immediately.
  2. Gather a team of like-minded people. If there are few people willing to participate, it is better to join some existing search party. This will provide an opportunity to get acquainted with its structure and features of the organization of search activities. If there are a large number of expected participants, start with a general meeting. Discuss the areas of work, the possible title and candidacy of the commander. Be sure to write a protocol. Enter the exact address of the venue. Write down all participants in the meeting with their last names, first names, patronymics and passport details. The protocol must also indicate the adopted name, surname, name and patronymic of the commander. Make a decision to join the Union of search parties. It is best to resolve the issue of entry immediately. It is this organization that is authorized by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to conduct search work.
  3. Develop a squad charter. Specify the goals and objectives of your organization, structure. Determine what each team member is responsible for and what their responsibilities are. A sample Charter can be asked for in an existing detachment that has been conducting search activities for a long time. You can also apply directly to the Union of Search Detachments or any of its regional branches.
  4. Make a work plan. Plan not only military archaeological expeditions, but also archival and local history work. This is especially important if the squad is of different ages and there are minors in it. They should not be taken on military archaeological expeditions, since they are associated with dangerous work, but they can also lead the local history direction.
  5. Think about where and how the squad members will learn safety. It is essential that each participant knows what to do if a suspicious item is found. Invite a specialist from the military unit that deals with the disposal of such items. It is possible that such a person can be found among those who want to join the detachment.
  6. Make a list of necessary equipment. You will need tourist and search equipment, tools. It is better to acquire it centrally, especially if the squad is large. It is possible that the youth department of the local government will agree to help you. There are search teams at large enterprises, in which case the trade union organization or the department of social issues can help.

Every unit is created for a purpose. It can be a search squad, reenactment, labor, children's or teenage. And its name is a kind of calling card.

Instruction:

  1. Gather the members of the squad and discuss the purpose for which your squad exists. The goal should also be traced in the name, unless, of course, it is a subdivision of a mass organization that has a certain structure.
  2. Don't be fooled by standard names. Teams "Friendship" or "Dream" can do anything. Remember that even the most beautiful words fade from frequent use and even change their meaning.
  3. If you are going to name a search detachment, specify in which particular area you are going to conduct search work, the history of which military unit or which particular episode of the war you will be dealing with. It is quite possible that this will be enough. The names of the search detachments "Luga Frontier" or "Oranienbaum Bridgehead" tell almost everything about their activities.
  4. If your detachment works in many directions and you find it difficult to single out the main one, remember the famous people who were born, lived or died in battles in your area. The search party is quite appropriate to call the name of the hero.
  5. Think about how to use the name of an educational institution or enterprise in the name if the detachment is created under them. It is best to choose a word that would simultaneously express both the purpose of the detachment and what the enterprise is doing.

Note:

Try to avoid overly long titles. The title should be short but expressive. It should also look good on the emblem. Please note that you will have to make or order flags, chevrons or badges, so the name should be legible even if it is written in small letters.

Don't use the titles of famous books or movies. Confusion will arise for those with whom your squad will have to contact. In addition, some titles are subject to copyright.

Useful advice:

In the names of search parties, abbreviations are quite appropriate.

The name of the reconstruction team should reflect the era in question, the country and composition of the participants. In this case, Latin or Old Slavonic names, as well as names in other languages, are quite appropriate. These may be genuine historical names or invented ones.

Detachment
are the organized military forces of the country. The correct strategy of warfare is a very important factor for victory, but sometimes the tactics of deploying troops, incl. and the division of the detachment, play a decisive role in the battle.

Instruction:

  1. Select the military-construction part of the detachment, which will consist of the main headquarters and subdivisions. This part will be responsible for the manufacture of various structures, as well as construction and installation works, incl. and in enterprises. Staff the military construction unit with young conscripts who have at least something to do with construction. Assign experienced people to the headquarters.
  2. Select the reconnaissance part of the detachment. She will carry out reconnaissance of enemy forces and conduct reconnaissance of the area for the successful location of her forces. Staff with a small number of people with outstanding mental abilities, preferably with knowledge of the language of the enemy.
  3. Separate from the detachment and the advanced part, which will capture the boundaries of the enemy's defenses and important objects, as well as conduct actions aimed at the defense of their troops. This will be the main part. It must be armed with the most modern types of weapons.
  4. Be sure to allocate a sentry part of the detachment, which will guard the troops during rest and transitions.
  5. Form a barrier. It will mine objects, cover the flanks of units with structures, and also unite and separate them.
  6. Create a unit that will ensure the movement of troops. Complete part of the engineering-road units, which will create routes with roads suitable for the movement of troops. They will also be engaged in bridge work and make passages in the barriers.
  7. Select an assault squad. It can be formed temporarily to capture structures and important strategic objects and points from which fire attacks will be carried out.
  8. Select the aviation part of the detachment and the naval part. As additional measures, form a unit for the protection of senior officials, as well as a food unit that provides food for the entire army.

A huge number of books have been written about the Great Patriotic War. Memorials and museum expositions, films and radio programs tell about the events of those days.

Nevertheless, not every young Russian is able to answer the question of what happened then and who fought with whom. The memory of the war must be kept, including in your family.

You will need:

  • - photographs of the war;
  • - Dictaphone:
  • - video camera;
  • - a computer with internet access.

Instruction:

  1. Participants of the Great Patriotic War are very old people. Many of them probably already had to talk about what happened to them. However, try talking to veterans you know one more time. It is quite possible that one of them will come up with an episode that he has not previously told about. To find those who fought in 1941-45, you will be helped in the City Council of Veterans or in the department of social protection of the population. It is better to record stories on a voice recorder or video camera.
  2. You can easily find those who were children during the war years. They also have stories to tell. Among them, there will certainly be young prisoners of fascist concentration camps, and home front workers. The testimony of a person who lived far from the front line can also be invaluable - after all, victory was also forged in the rear, he himself or his parents probably worked at a factory or on a collective farm during the war years.
  3. Ask your respondents for photos of the war years, scan them, sign them. You can arrange materials in different ways - in the form of an album with deciphered texts, a presentation, a video. The material can be shown at a lesson in courage, an evening dedicated to Victory Day, a meeting with youth activists, etc.
  4. It is said that the war ends when the last soldier is buried. So far, not all soldiers of the Second World War have been found and buried with the honors due to them. If you want to restore justice, join the search party. If your city does not have this, create your own, register it with the Search Party Fund and take part in the search expedition. They work in all areas where there were fights. The search engines are not only looking for the remains of the fallen, they are constantly replenishing museums of military glory with exhibits, thereby preserving the memory of the war.
  5. Relatives of many Russians, as well as residents of other former Soviet republics, died on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. If you also have such, you can take part in the Immortal Regiment promotion. To do this, you need to enlarge the photo of a relative to A4 format, sign his last name, first name and part number (if known) and attach it to a banner. Even in small towns there are firms that do this. But nothing prevents you from making such a banner yourself, because there are no standards for participation in the action. It is important that there be a portrait of the deceased front-line soldier.
  6. If your area has a war memorial or some sort of combat-related facility, you can have a community work day there. This is especially important if you live in a small town that does not have enough money in its budget for such purposes. It is worth announcing it on social networks - and there will certainly be those who want to help you. It is better to pre-negotiate with the municipal service, which would help to take out the garbage.
  7. Folk museums are now being created in some small towns. Nothing prevents you from creating one for yourself. For example, there are cases when the museum was located in a former pillbox, a casemate of an abandoned fortress, a former barracks, etc. Such museums are usually created by groups of enthusiasts of all ages. The Folk Museum is a great opportunity to bring together people of different generations.

The remains of those who died during the Great Patriotic War are often found by search engines. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to decipher the data of soldiers' medallions, even if they are available. According to the award, it is possible to establish the identity of the deceased, since all military orders and medals have numbers.

You will need:

  • - reward;
  • — catalog of orders and medals;
  • - a computer with Internet access.

Instruction:

  1. Determine what kind of reward fell into your hands. This can be done according to the catalog "Orders and medals of the USSR". Such reference publications can still be found in libraries and bookstores. They also exist in electronic form, including on many military historical sites. Each military award has a unique identification number. Award documents are in the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
  2. Create an archive request. It is better to do this through the military registration and enlistment office, a museum or a search party. To obtain an archival certificate for third parties, you must provide documents proving the degree of kinship, and you, of course, do not have them. For legal entities, such a certificate can be provided. In the request, indicate the name of the order, the degree, the purpose for which you need to find out this data. There may be such a request from local governments, especially if remains are found that need to be buried. Also indicate the type of archival document that you need. It can be a registration card, an award sheet, an award order. Service cards were issued for officers. Databases on orders issued during the war exist because special journals were kept. As for the medals "For Courage" and "For Military Merit", in this case the journals were not kept so carefully, so the necessary information may not be available. The request must also include a legible address. It is better if it is the address of a legal entity.
  3. You can try to use the network archive search. Go to the Archive Search site. There you will be offered to punch “By last name, first name and patronymic” and “By number orders or medals. Choose the second one. Carefully read the terms of information provision. You can get the necessary information about the last name, first name, patronymic, place of conscription. For the burial of the remains of this information is enough.
  4. To arrange a stand in the museum, try to find some more information about the owner of the order. Knowing the place of conscription, you can contact the regional or local archives. Contact the museum of military glory, which is located in this locality, with the search detachment located there. Coordinates of the search engines can be found on the website of the Union of Search Teams.

Note:

In the military registration and enlistment office you may require an order. This is useful if you want to return the reward to the previous owner.

Useful advice:

If you would like to return a lost award to a veteran, contact the military registration and enlistment office, the local Council of Veterans, or the committee for social protection of the population. This can be done immediately without waiting for the name to be set. These organizations, as a rule, have lists of those awarded military orders.

Historical reconstruction: where to start

Historical reenactment is a movement that started in the 1960s. The main goal is to recreate the material and spiritual history of a particular era through the use of reliable archaeological and written sources. Currently, historical reconstruction is one of the most popular hobbies among the male population. This hobby is liked by both adult men who have served in the armed forces and participated in military conflicts, and young boys.

Where to begin?

To begin with, it is necessary to decide on the subject of historical reconstruction. The eras of antiquity and the Middle Ages are especially popular abroad, and in Russia - the period of the First and Second World Wars. Each era is characterized by certain historical periods and time frames.

Find the right reenactor club in your city or nearby. Chat with club members, ask why they are interested in this particular time period. As a rule, the club of historical reconstruction has certain military orders. At the head is a commander who gives orders and issues special equipment.

Reenactors are people who recreate the life, crafts and traditions of a certain period of a particular state. Before restoring a particular item, it is necessary to investigate the history of its manufacture. Reenactors are divided into lovers of historical reconstruction and fans of military operations. The former are engaged in the investigation of archaeological and written sources of a particular era, the latter in the study of military norms, equipment and weapons. Read historical books and build your knowledge base, which will be based not only on feature films.

Participate in festivals and events organized by clubs. All members of the historical club are invited to participate in presentations, exhibitions, filming of war films. Some reenactors are not involved in the activities of the club and are engaged in reconstruction on their own. Try to find relevant forums and groups on the Internet. The more information you have about a certain era, the more successfully you will be able to restore the object in practice.

What gives this hobby?

Historical reconstruction is the ability to preserve the memory of the great deeds of the ancestors. You will try food prepared according to the recipes of those times, live in a military camp, learn to shoot, become well versed in historical events and equipment. Reconstruction is a kind of "time machine" that allows everyone interested to see and experience the events of a certain era. In addition, reenactors are universal soldiers. You will know how to survive in the field or in the noise of gunshots and explosions. Becoming a member of the club, you will have the opportunity not only to collect a piece of history, but also to meet interesting people and like-minded people.

With the help of modern communications, it has become much easier to find out about the fate of the dead or missing at the front.

Instruction:

  1. Information for filling databanks is taken from archival official documents stored in the Central Naval Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in the Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for perpetuating the memory of those who died defending the Fatherland. A lot of information is provided by archival documents that specify losses (documents from medical battalions and hospitals, trophy cards of prisoners of war, funerals, etc.), documents from the burial places of Soviet soldiers and officers.
  2. Do not despair if you cannot immediately find the information you need about the front-line soldier. The data is constantly updated, over time it will appear. In the meantime, contact the search engines involved in excavating the remains at the battlefields, studying the graves and searching for a variety of information about the defenders of the Fatherland during the war. Register on special forums dedicated to this topic and ask about the front-line soldier you are interested in.
  3. Provide the search engines with the following data about the front-line soldier: the address of the military registration and enlistment office that called him up for service, the year of vocation, the number of the unit in which the person you are interested in fell into (contact the district military registration and enlistment office to get this information). *By Surname, First Name, Patronymic - (full name)

* Order and medal number.

The archives contain:

  • UK (Index card)
  • NL (award sheet)

  • CPC (Accounting Service Card) - only for officers!
  • Award Order (Pr)
  • Prisoner of War Card (KV)
  • Map of Dead Losses (KBP)

There are 2 types of punching:

one). punching military and post-war awards (1941-1991)

2). pre-war punching (1917-1941) G.)

In 1)th case, these are awards issued between 1941 and 1991.
Including local conflicts (Hungary, Afghanistan, Czech Republic, Egypt, etc.)

If you order punching by full name, you can find:

1. Account Card (UK)

2. Award List (NL)

3.Accounting Obedient Card (UPC)

4.Others

  1. AT UK- all awards of the gentleman and all information about them are indicated (no. of awards, no. of documents, no. of orders) + brief information about the gentleman (the most interesting is the position and place of service at the time of the award.) During the Second World War, cards were started for each award. Therefore, one person can meet several cards. But military cards are rare. Most often there are cards 47-55gg. The establishment of new cards, apparently, is connected with their re-registration and systematization. The recipient's card contains brief information about the recipient.
  2. AT NL- a description of a military feat (may be in the form of a general order or even a cipher message). Those. for which the award was given. In addition to the feat itself, the moment is interesting that, for example, the regiment commander could present for the Order of Glory of the 3rd century, and the division commander could not satisfy the presentation, and award the medal "For Courage." And this happens quite often. Orders for awarding could be for a regiment, division, army, etc. and, accordingly, these orders were signed by the unit commanders. Therefore, very often you can find the signature of very famous people. Even marshals and commanders.
  3. AT Code of Criminal Procedure- the entire combat path of an officer., usually with a photo. There are different types of CPC, depending on the year the card was issued. But the content is almost the same. The Code of Criminal Procedure contains complete information about a person + the entire track record. Those. where, when and in what rank the officer served. However, it happens that some information may not be in the Criminal Procedure Code. For example, records of awards, injuries, or other information. Most often, the lack of information happens among the missing officers.
  4. AT LD-in the personal file there is everything that is known about the gentleman, history from birth, characteristics, career path, photos, etc., except for award sheets) ~ ~ 10-100 pages, more often about 20-30. Only for officers!

If you order punching by award number:

That then you can find: CC, NL and/or Code of Criminal Procedure and/or Award Order.

In 2) case, these are pre-war orders from 1917 to 1941.
You will receive information first in writing!
Further searches for the UK (maybe and may not be)
There are no awards for pre-war orders. Punching by order number.

Addition:

  • If the awards were issued for participation in regional conflicts, such as Hungary, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Afghanistan and others, then the punching of these awards is difficult and in some cases impossible (if the documents are still classified). For each specific case, you need to know for sure.
  • Punching of labor awards is possible only if they are issued for military exploits, military construction, etc. up to the 60s. (Order of the Badge of Honor, Order of the Red Banner of Labor, etc.) In other cases, no.
  • Other (non-standard) punchings such as - Pre-war, Marine, NKVD, Moscow, Labor require detailed consideration
and are also possible in some cases.

Instruction

Determine what kind of reward fell into your hands. This can be done according to the catalog "Orders and medals of the USSR". Such reference publications can still be found in libraries and bookstores. They also exist in electronic form, including on many military historical sites. Each military award has a unique identification number. Award documents are in the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

This can be done immediately without waiting for the name to be set. These organizations, as a rule, have lists of those awarded military orders.

Be prepared for the fact that you will not receive archival information that interests you. This can happen for two reasons: or documents about order are still classified, or have been lost.
