The maximum speed on the Moscow Ring Road. What is the maximum speed limit for trucks? Truck speed

After Moscow developed the world's largest network of photo and video monitoring of traffic violations in just a couple of years, most drivers had to seriously reconsider their attitude to compliance with the speed limit. And then it turned out that many Muscovites do not know where what speed is allowed. The fact is that on half of the outbound highways the speed limit is 60 km/h, and on the second half it was raised to 80 km/h. At the same time, on some roads (for example, on the Leningrad Highway), the authorities did not even bother to put up signs announcing the increased speed limit. But the most amazing thing is that speed mode may vary on different sections of the same route. Yes, on Schelkovo highway there is only small segment, a little over a kilometer long, where you can accelerate to 80 km / h, and on Marshal Zhukov Avenue, on the contrary, there is a one and a half kilometer section in the middle of the road where you need to slow down. It is even more difficult to figure out where what speed is allowed on the TTK.

All this chaos was proposed to be put in order by the Probok.net expert center, removing fluctuations in speed along the highway and making it the same on all roads of the same type. According to experts, after the reconstruction, 80 km/h can be allowed on the entire Kashirskoye Highway. The same can be done after reconstruction on all outbound routes. It is proposed to make the speed gradation the same as in Europe: on ordinary streets - 50 or even 30 km / h, and on highways - 80 or more. At the same time, it is necessary to prepare drivers for changes in advance by setting the appropriate road signs and information boards.

Many do not know where what speed is allowed. On some roads, the authorities did not even bother to put up signs

Probok.net wants to conduct another high-speed experiment on the Moscow Ring Road - to differentiate the speed on different lanes of the road. Experts suggested increasing the speed to 110 km/h in the two left lanes, and lowering it to 80 km/h in the far right lane. This mode is more consistent with the real speed of movement on the Moscow Ring Road, therefore absolute majority drivers will be more profitable to comply with the established norms.

Offer from Probok.net: speed limit depending on the lane on the Moscow Ring Road

The section from the 94th to the 103rd kilometer was chosen as the optimal place for the experiment, since for eight kilometers the ring is not interrupted by ramps and junctions. The Expert Center has already submitted a proposal to the relevant authorities, so this may become a reality in the near future. True, in this case experts no longer refer to experience developed countries, and to Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

Comment

Head of the Probok.net Expert Center:

- When 80 km/h was introduced at Leningradka and Zvenigorodka, many shouted: “Are you ready to take responsibility for the corpses?” But the number of accidents has not increased. Accidents have not been canceled, but the fact that drivers stopped receiving fines at Zvenigorodka for an unreasonable speed limit did not cause anything bad, moreover, order appeared. Much easier to follow clear rules and move at a permitted and comfortable speed, rather than trying to wag between the cameras, pressing either the gas or the brake.

Verdict

Editor:

Sometimes not only motorists, but also those who set it, do not have time to follow changes in the speed limit. After all, there were also cases when video recording cameras were set up incorrectly or they forgot to reconfigure, as a result of which motorists received unfair fines. It is also not entirely fair that fines are often imposed not for deliberate excess, but for ignorance. So, the idea of making the speed limit the same on all major highways is quite reasonable. Only now the second initiative, it turns out, runs counter to the first - the main problem differentiation in that it can just create confusion. However, this is what an experiment is needed to test the proposed in practice.

Safety on Moscow roads largely depends on the speed limit established by the traffic rules. Moving at the speed allowed by the State traffic inspectorate, the motorist will be able to react in time and prevent an accident. website publishes speed limits for different types Moscow roads.

Speed limit in Moscow

In residential areas and in yard areas, the speed of the car should not exceed 20 kilometers per hour. On all other roads of the capital, you can move at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour, with the exception of the Moscow Ring Road, Third Ring Road and some other highways.

At a speed of no more than 80 kilometers per hour, you can move along the Third Ring Road and sections of outbound highways with the corresponding signs, which may change due to weather conditions and for other reasons.

Speed limits in Troitsky and Novomoskovsky districts

The annexed territories included many suburban highways, for example, Kiev and Kaluga highway where the speed limit is 90 kilometers per hour. But in settlements exceeding the speed of 60 kilometers per hour is unacceptable.

Police officers record speeding with the help of a mobile radar. If the fact is affected by the device, then the traffic police inspector draws up a protocol on the spot and issues a receipt.

In addition, stationary radars are used. They are installed on special road structures in places of heavy traffic and on highways with dedicated lanes. These devices have the functions of photo and video recording of the car and car numbers. All information about offenders is sent either to the post of traffic police officers or to the traffic police.

If speeding or driving into a dedicated lane was fixed by stationary radars, then expect receipts by mail.

I am preparing for the theory exam traffic and to better understand, I wrote this document.

Why restrictions?

I did not delve into the history of the emergence of traffic rules, my opinion is that the rules appeared in order to reduce the number of accidents. Accidents are bad, the number of accidents is the parameter that should be striven to reduce.

From my point of view, the speed limit is introduced precisely in order to reduce the number of accidents.

Driver reaction speed

There is such a thing as driver reaction speed. At different people this time ranges from half a second to two seconds. The higher the vehicle speed, the greater the distance the vehicle travels during the driver's reaction time. The slower the speed, the less the car will travel in the driver's reaction time, and the more likely it is that the driver will have time to perform a maneuver that will avoid an accident.

Main Rule

The rules of the road are very a good thing but the rules are limited. Real life is much more varied. If something is allowed by the rules, this does not mean that it must be done. If the rules allow you to drive 60 km / h, but, for example, the weather is terrible, then you should not drive at the maximum allowed speed.

The main rule - you need to think about safety.

Permitted speeds

What are the allowed speeds? These are figures for cars of category B, for other categories the restrictions are somewhat different.

  • 60 km/h - permitted speed in the city
  • 90 km/h - permitted speed outside the city
  • 110 km/h - permitted speed on the motorway

There is quite a logic here. There are more cars and pedestrians in the city than outside the city, because of this more possibilities for the emergence emergencies so don't go too fast. Outside the city, the speed limit is higher than in the city - it’s also logical, outside the city you often drive along a straight road, you don’t need to make many maneuvers, it’s easier to drive. The motorway is specially built so that cars move quickly along it, there are special restrictions to maintain safety on the road, so the highest speed is allowed there.

The motorway has another feature related to the speed of movement. The motorway can only be accessed vehicles that can reach speeds of 40 km / h or more. Those. slow-moving vehicles are prohibited from entering the motorway.

Signs about speed

There are three general speed modes. 60, 90 or 110 km/h. But these are too general figures. For example, there is good road in the city, it can be allowed even more. Or there is some road where accidents are very frequent - it is worth reducing the allowed speed there.

Signs are used to solve this problem. There are 3 signs that are directly related to the speed limit.

First, it is a sign "Restriction top speed» from the section «Prohibition signs». In the zone of action of this sign it is forbidden to move at a speed greater than what is written on the sign:

Then there is the "Minimum Speed Limit" sign from the "mandatory signs" section. In the zone of its action it is forbidden to move at a speed less than what is written on the sign:

Markup about speed

In addition, the speed is adjustable special characters, the sign "Maximum speed limit" can be duplicated on the markings. It looks something like this:

Road markings are drawn with white paint, but they say that an experiment is underway, and sometimes the circle is painted with red paint, so that the markings look more like a prohibition sign.

the main road

In the classroom at a driving school they told interesting fact, it is somewhat related to the speed of movement, I want to write it down.

As you know, at an unregulated intersection, if there are no special signs, the main road is a paved road against a dirt road. Why is that? By dirt road you drive at a slower speed: this is a bad road on which it shakes, and in order to drive more or less comfortably, you need to slow down. So you shook on a dirt road, reached the intersection with an asphalt road. On asphalt, you can freely ride at a higher speed than on a dirt road. Drivers driving on asphalt are already accustomed to driving at high speeds and are more "dangerous" than those drivers who, while driving on bad road accustomed to low speed. Therefore, it was decided that the paved road is the main one in relation to the dirt road in order to give way to more "dangerous" drivers.

The car behind does not keep the distance

Another important point, which is indirectly related to speed. What to do if the driver behind does not keep the distance? The answer is very simple - increase the distance to the car in front. In this case, you will be able to brake more slowly, and this blockhead from behind will not crash into you. This is question 18 of the 38 ticket exam questionnaire.

Permitted speed on the Moscow Ring Road

  1. Signs "Road for cars" should be installed on the Moscow Ring Road
  2. Permitted speed on the Moscow Ring Road - 100 km / h

The "Road for Motor Vehicles" sign imposes exactly the same restrictions on the road as the "Motorway" sign, except for speed. Vehicles of category B on motorways are allowed speeds up to 110 km/h, and there are no special instructions about speed for roads on which there is a sign "Road for cars".

Additional restrictions

In addition to the standard restrictions - 60 in the city, 90 outside the city, 110 on the highway, the traffic rules also say the following:

  • 20 km / h - speed limit in a residential area (there are special signs)
  • 50 km/h - speed limit when towing another car

If the car has a trailer, then the restrictions are as follows:

  • 60 km/h in the city (same speed as without a trailer)
  • 70 km/h - driving outside the city with a trailer
  • 90 km/h - driving on the motorway with a trailer

Complete list of all speed limits for Category B

  • 20 km/h - the maximum permitted speed in a residential area
  • 50 km/h - when towing another car
  • 60 km/h - in the city (with or without a trailer)
  • 70 km/h - outside the city with a trailer
  • 90 km/h - outside the city
  • 90 km/h - on the motorway with a trailer
  • 110 km/h - motorway

TODO

The post has been written, but within the framework of the speed of movement, it is still very interesting to consider the following questions:

  • How to calculate speed? Now, to solve a problem like “How many meters will a car travel in 2 seconds if it moves at a speed of 90 km / h?”, I need to take a piece of paper and a pen. It would be great to work through this moment, remember a few constants so that such tasks can be solved in the mind.
  • In the event of an emergency stop, the SDA says that you need to put a red triangle (which is officially called an "emergency stop sign") no less than 15 meters from the car in the city and no less than 30 meters outside the city. I'm interested to see how these numbers are justified - take the allowed speed, the reaction time of the driver, multiply-divide and understand how such numbers will help to avoid an accident.
  • Distance from signs in the city and outside the city. Signs are placed 50-100 meters in the city and 150-300 meters outside the city. Here, too, it was interesting to calculate these numbers in speed.
  • Fines for speeding.

Establishing a clear and adequate speed limit on city roads is extremely important task, ignoring which leads to terrible consequences. I often hear that Moscow drivers drive terribly, constantly exceed the speed limit, which leads to a high accident rate. And everyone always has the same answer - undisciplined motorists are to blame, which means that it is necessary to increase fines, install more cameras, etc.

Think about it, this has already led to the fact that one of the largest systems for automatically fixing violations in the world (!), has been deployed in Moscow, a camera has been installed literally every kilometer, the fines are now also rather big, for a serious speeding you can lose your rights for half a year (from 60 km/h). And what, did it become as calm and safe with us as in European cities? Of course not. And, obviously, the solution to the problem of safety lies not in the further pinching of drivers, but exclusively in working with the end users of the traffic system, i.e. with ordinary people. In the meantime, everyone ignores motorists (their opinion, comfort, convenience is not put in anything), then drivers will have every right to believe that they do not owe anything to anyone.

Yesterday we made out that Moscow drivers do not know at all what speed limit is actually set in Moscow. Formally, it is allowed to drive 80 km / h on 13 highways, however, over the past couple of years, for some reason, informing signs about this have been dismantled. How can you keep the speed if it is not clear what it is?

It's time to talk to motorists in a language they understand, with the help of properly installed signs and markings. We must trust the drivers, and believe me, they will repay the same. Probok.net has a great offer to change the speed limit on the Moscow Ring Road.

We want to introduce a differentiated speed limit on the traffic lanes of the Moscow Ring Road. The maximum in the two left rows must be increased to 110 km / h, and in the far right row - reduced to 80 km / h. Now all lanes have a single mode: 100 km/h. It is both a lot and a little at the same time.

signs above each lane will inform the driver about the maximum speed in his lane

No matter how strange it may seem at first glance, but this will lead to increased traffic safety on the road and driving comfort.

MKAD is a rather difficult road. On the one hand, it is a modern high-speed highway that does not have single-level intersections, with good asphalt pavement, center fences along its entire length. On the other hand, the ring road has many junctions in the form of races from gas stations, shopping centers, tire shops, etc. Trucks and public transport make up a significant proportion of traffic on the highway.

Now imagine a car moving along the far right lane at a speed of 100, or even 110-115 km / h (not penalized excess). And at this moment, some truck slowly drives into the Moscow Ring Road without a transitional speed lane. Naturally, this is an emergency situation. I repeat that according to the rules of the road, everything is correct, but in reality, this is a complete disgrace.

And vice versa, in the extreme left lane (where only passenger cars) many people drive at a speed of 120-130 km / h, because it is adequate and safe. After all, there is nothing wrong with the fact that all cars move at the same, albeit rather big speed. The traffic flow in this case is calm and predictable, there are fewer people who want to drive. It really becomes an emergency when there is one idiot who wants to play checkers. But the lower the flow rate, the more such idiots become. If the speed limit in the left lanes becomes 110 km/h (yes, let's face it, 130 in fact), then it will be beneficial for the absolute majority of drivers to comply with the established regime, rather than trying to press the pedal a little.

Probok.net takes the initiative to conduct an experiment on the Moscow Ring Road, in an ideal place for this - a site Elk Island(from 94 to 103 km), where 8 km ring road are not interrupted by exits and junctions. All that is needed is to install the appropriate signs, information boards and observe the situation for 2 months: measure the accident rate, average speeds. Why try to go 150 km/h when you can legally go 130 (which is a very decent speed).

When we voiced this idea in the relevant authorities, we heard a natural reaction: that drivers would not understand how to drive (apparently, traffic would stop completely due to motorists who fell into a stupor), and that the accident rate on the Moscow Ring Road would sharply increase. That is, the driver on the right lane is normal, and the limit of 80 kilometers per hour in the same place is inevitable accidents. This was the first emotional reaction, now we need to discuss the issue seriously.

In fact, there is nothing wrong with such a high-speed mode.
It has been operating for a long time in many countries of the world. The most annoying thing is that we are bypassed by our former compatriots. For example, the Azerbaijanis have introduced such an innovation.

Moreover, the difference in speed between the extreme lanes is 40 km / h and nothing terrible happens. Moscow drivers drive no worse than Baku ones.

And the Ukrainians are not far behind. My beloved and peaceful Kyiv...

Far abroad, somewhere in Asia

It is important to explain a couple more points in advance.

Moscow has great example with an increase in speed on Leningradsky Prospekt and Zvenigorodskoye Highway from 60 to 80 km/h. Today I spoke again with the state traffic inspectorate, and they confirmed to me that the accident rate did not increase from this. This only confirms the fact that drivers are more willing to comply with an adequate regime.

The maximum capacity of the road is reached at a speed of 50 km/h. However, in fact throughput determines not the speed, but the density of the flow. Therefore, when there are a lot of cars on the Moscow Ring Road, the average speed can drop to zero, regardless of what is indicated on the signs.

The famous Moscow traffic jams will not interfere with the innovation. It is no secret that most speed fines are issued at night, free from traffic jams, so it is so important not to try to fine more people, but to give clear rules of the game that will be convenient to follow.

Moscow is one of the largest cities in the world, we have huge distances, and fast speed movement becomes especially an important factor. In fact, the multi-speed mode has been operating on the Moscow Ring Road for a long time. You just need to admit it and fix it.
