Appear teacher students tell. When the student is ready, the teacher comes

I was recently on the phone with an old friend of mine who had been out of touch for almost a decade.

She is worrying difficult period in his life, which includes selling the house and taking unloved thing. The most interesting thing is that I was going through a similar period when we talked to her in last time. Thus, the sudden restoration of contact with her by telephone seemed not accidental. I shared with her what was once said to me when I was going through a crisis. These words changed my life at the time. They evoked the same reaction in her that I once had.

The power of a word heard at the right time

It made me think about how powerful the words heard in right time able to change the way you think in an instant.

"When the student is ready, the teacher will appear himself." - Lao Tzu

I shared my experience with her.. In 2008, like many others, I lost my job and for almost two years odd jobs. I tried to keep my house. At that time, my mainstay and support was Lisa Gould, my friend and financial advisor. We often discussed various alternative options However, I literally clung to my home.

I clung to habitual life. I loved that house, it became a part of me. He gave meaning to my life, which was due to habits, upbringing, stories about american dream and the belief that homeownership is an integral part of being a successful adult. I felt like a failure who was unable to keep my own house.

Question

When I discussed this with Lisa, she said, "Why don't you set yourself up for success instead of defending against failure?"

“Wait what? Repeat, please,” I said in bewilderment.

"Why don't you set yourself up for success instead of defending against failure?"

I still remember where I was sitting when I heard those words. Something happened in my body. I felt the blood rush to my face. I started, as if I had a lot of opportunities. There was a shift in my thinking.

The reason it made me feel like this strong impact at that moment, is that I was ready to hear and accept these words. That is when the shift in thinking occurs. Until she told me this, I didn't notice what I was really doing, which was trying like crazy to protect myself from failure.

Failure Protection

It's like trying to stop the bleeding with a Band-Aid that doesn't hold. You are constantly in a state of shame and fear. “But what will other people say?” - you think and continue to wait for a catch. It is a painful vicious circle leading to death. You feel like a failure.

Since what you are focused on can expand, trying to protect yourself from failure focuses your attention on the impending failure.

Set for success

It involves assessing the present, anticipating the future, reducing losses and moving forward; there should be no shackles holding you back. It is the realization that your circumstances do not define you. What matters is the steps you take to deal with them. The mindset for success revolves around intent. When you intend to succeed, he will not keep you waiting.

Gary Sukav writes in his book "Residence of the Soul": You create reality with your own intentions". So, if your intention is to protect yourself from failure, then you will be in given state. If your intention is to always make choices that lead to fulfillment and success, then you will live in that state.

Then it radically changed everything in my life. Literally at that moment, my house turned into supports, bricks and mortar. Those words freed me from the emotions I had become so attached to. Emotions are what connected shame and fear of failure. In a success mindset, that was what set me free.

Was it hard? How to say. I needed to survive the sale of the house. Once that happened, I felt like I was freed from the chains that were holding me back in so many ways. When your thinking changes, so does your life.

II often remind myself of Lisa's words and share them with those who need help. They benefit my life. I fully understood and accepted them. They have become my mantra – in work, in relationships, in everything.

When the Student is ready, the Teacher appears.

Karmic teachers and karmic lessons.

But do we always accept our Teachers and their lessons?

The teacher can appear in any form.

For a young female creation, the Teacher can be a child, the conception of which occurred after a fleeting relationship. For an entrepreneur - the ruin of his business, which he kept with his last strength last years. For young man- the refusal of a girl who is not a karmically suitable couple for him.

As you can see, the Teacher can come in the form of a person, an event or a situation. Or maybe in the form of an idea, inspiration that changes the worldview.

Patterned thinking

The patterns of the mind are always inert, they always try to keep the usual course of things and prevent development, the entry of the new into your life.

So in the case of pregnancy, a girl can try to stay at the same level of development by contacting the clinic for an abortion. The karmic lesson has not been passed, it is being created karmic knot. A big problem in the future, which will have to go through with love and acceptance in order to complete the cycle negative experiences associated with this node.

Life sends us Teachers quite often. But, following the patterns of the mind, we deny their lessons, creating suffering for ourselves.

A teacher is every person we meet in life, especially if we have a tense relationship with him. People who go into a trance (for example, theta regression) remember past relationships with this person even in other incarnations where the knot was tied.

In an incomprehensible situation - evolve!

Everyone seems to know the wisdom of success: keep up with the times, evolve, change and you will be happy! What is easier? And life also gives hints, constantly directing to the Destiny. Puts up barriers if we go the wrong way.

But most people prefer to fight with the world, with the people around them, instead of accepting and developing.

Black Teachers

There is also such a thing as a Black teacher. This is already an imperative intervention in our destiny, when we are no longer given a choice. What the Light teacher did not teach with hints and light restrictions, the Black one will teach with strict control, the destruction of what prevents the Destiny from being realized, but which a person does not voluntarily give up.

Yesterday a woman came again with the main theme - loneliness. Or, to be more precise, non-pairing. Gorgeous. Good girl. Professionally successful. Sufficiently secured. But ... at 38, neither a husband nor a lover. There were novels in the past, there were random short meetings. But everything ends in parting, everything falls apart. Gnawing fear of impending aging and growing half-panic, half-depression. Men in this position also sometimes turn, but less often, and also, it happens, they are very worthy, beautiful, smart and successful.
Every time I am surprised how unevenly the heavenly or what kind of distributor of love luck works. This woman again asks me to give her a straw of support: she is drowning in her female insecurity, she does not believe that something can change, she is about to completely put an end to herself. And I tell her about the facts: both fifty and sixty-year-olds, and burdened with children and illnesses, happily find mates, get married and marry, now the Internet helps, at great cost, but it helps ... I prove again that positive attitude, causeless confidence and faith, unconditioned, all win; what you need, leaving the result, do not leave attempts ...
I see how in her eyes, weakly, weakly begins to dawn ...
It’s like in an extinguished light bulb, into which a weak voltage is supplied, then a little stronger, then weakens again ... I understand that the reason for her loneliness is that she still has not been internally ready for the relationship she is looking for. And all unpaired axial internal cause exactly in this. External circumstances line up accordingly. When loving ready, the beloved comes.
“I know, I feel that your person is. He lives somewhere, goes somewhere. Maybe very close, maybe on another continent. I imagine him very well. If you feel it just as well and imagine it, if you stop doubting his existence and destined for this meeting, and calm down in this certainty, then he will appear ... JUST BE READY.

Not criticism, but our flower of greetings, could we bring each other
Other hearts, like Temples of Light, learn to understand and love.
To believe that in every Heart we meet, the Truth sends us a lesson:
Not a friend, not an enemy, but only the Eternal Teacher, anyone who enters, even for a short time.
(M. Ozoliņa, Riga)

Each thought of Goodness and Beauty is already an arrow of Clear Light... Therefore, let us learn together to think about Goodness. Agree???

What is the relationship between teacher and student?

The most varied. There is no single model here.
True, if we ignore a specific Teacher and a specific student (which, in general, is correct, because each Teacher has his own Teacher, that one has his own, and so on ad infinitum) and focus on the generalized image of the Teacher with capital letter, then some basic principles can still be tried to highlight.

The students can obviously be divided into two groups.
The first is those that act next to the Teacher. Following the instructions of the Teacher, whom they see and hear directly, they work off the karma of obedience.
The second is those who act far from the Teacher, not seeing or hearing him directly. They work out the karma of initiative.
It is clear that the second karma is preferable, because it is believed that the disciple helps the Teacher to the greatest extent not when, when he lives and acts near Him, but when he has matured to complete self-control and can be sent alone into the thick of people, into the thick of their passions and sorrow.
And in this case, a person not only learns to be independent. It is believed that with proper spiritual orientation, it becomes aggravated inner vision and inner ear. Away from the Teacher, embarking on any business, preparing himself for a working state, the student must focus his thoughts on the Teacher, and also collect all his attention and fullness of feelings and thoughts only on what he is going to do. As you can see, this is not mysticism at all, but concentration and the utmost concentration of attention.

Some student rules exist.
They sound like this:
- Here are the three covenants of life and work:

1. Do not repeat, but repeat.

2. Go forward, but be mindful of others.

3. Do not doubt that the Teacher is nearby.
Doubt equals betrayal.

Some people take the word “apprenticeship” too literally, drawing in their imagination a school (certainly in a quiet, secluded place), almost student desks, a good mentor. Proximity to the Teacher is drawn by him as a kind of holiday holiday. And she, this closeness, is kept only by constant, intense everyday work, which, under the impulse of the Teacher, only becomes more intense.
The same thing is constantly being said: that in the matter of discipleship they do not stand still. If you have made someone a living example for yourself, if you have chosen someone as your Teacher, then be kind to keep up with Him. To lag behind the Teacher means to become enslaved in superstitions and prejudices. To prevent this from happening, again, complete and disinterested devotion to the work shared with the Teacher is required.
The path to the Teacher seems to be wide open. And meetings with them are rare. It is believed that, among other things, another living prejudice prevents us - it is developed among beginners, but not only among them - the desire to see the Teacher in some kind of fabulous guise. The wise proverb is completely forgotten: "It is necessary and the ant will be the messenger."
So it turns out that some people dream all the time about the Teacher, about the path with him and life near Him. And when in one way or another they come to the path where they can meet the Teacher, they begin to deny this path, criticize it, something in it does not suit them. And it turns out that what was important to them was not the News that reached them, but the ant that brought it. Their attention is concentrated on the ant and on their own spiritual cleverness, which is nothing but spiritual squalor.

The Himalayan Masters believe that no one can be raised to a higher high level. One can only give everyone every opportunity to rise higher, serving him as a living example.
The spirit of man is ready, he is ripe, ready and new form work and activities for him. Everything rests on the eternal law:

THE STUDENT IS READY - THE TEACHER IS READY FOR HIM.

I will be glad to all your responses and reviews... Write!

The transfer of knowledge requires effort both on the part that receives it and on the part that gives it. Spiritual wisdom says: "The desired is given to those who can perceive it." Desire is extraordinary powerful magnet: "The inner desire for the search for truth is a magnet that will attract and external opportunities”, - it is said in the Teaching of Living Ethics (N, 283). With a conscious desire, you can achieve a lot.

In the diary book "Abyss of Fire" by I. Tweedy, which tells about spiritual practice related to the ancient yogic tradition, it is written: words: "If you seek the Truth as much as a drowning man yearns for air, you will accomplish it in the twinkling of an eye." But who wants the Truth so much? The task of the Teacher is to make the heart burn more with unquenchable fire. to maintain the burning, so that the heart of the disciple, purified by the fire of aspiration, could accept the gift of love.

The Teacher awakens aspiration. The Teacher maintains the fire of aspiration. But for this, he himself must burn, and the student must also be able to ignite, to catch fire.

The old parable "The Power of Desire" is devoted to this topic:

A young man once came to a sage and asked, "Sir, what must I do to gain wisdom?" The sage did not deign to answer him. After repeating his question several times with the same result, the young man finally left to return the next day with the same question. Again he answered and returned the next day with the same question. Again he received no answer and returned on the third day, again repeating: "Sir, what must I do to become a sage?" The sage turned and walked towards the nearby river. He entered the water, nodding for the young man to follow him. Having reached a sufficient depth, the wise man took the young man by the shoulders and held him under water, despite the young man's attempts to free himself. » The young man answered without hesitation: “Air! Air! I only wanted air!” “Wouldn’t you prefer wealth, pleasure and love to this, my son? Have you thought about these things?" - asked the sage. “No, sir, I wanted air and thought only of air,” came the immediate reply. “Then,” said the sage, “to become wise, you must desire wisdom with the same intensity as you just longed for air. If you pursue wisdom with such passion. my son, you will surely become wise.”

Another story. One day a stranger was walking along the road. The heat of the day and the long journey had worn him out. and he decided to rest a little. By the road stood a big tree, and the traveler went towards him to strengthen himself in the shadow of his dense crown. Once in the shady coolness, the wanderer experienced great joy and relief. The thought came into his mind: “How lucky I am that I found such a wonderful place. But I would be even luckier if I found a glass here. cold water". In the blink of an eye, a glass of water appeared in front of him. As he drained his glass, he thought, “Now I have quenched my thirst. How happy I would be if instead of stony solid earth there would be a comfortable bed here. A large soft bed immediately sprang up. “Even in my house,” the traveler reflected, “there is no such bed and such a pillow. If my wife were here and saw her, how happy she would be!” At that moment, his wife also appeared. The man saw her, and a doubt crept into his soul: “Maybe this is not my wife at all, but a demon? What if she eats me? As soon as he thought so, he was eaten by his wife. Wood. under which the traveler took refuge was nothing but a kalpavriksha. Kalpavriksha is a wish-fulfilling tree. When the traveler sat down under the kalpavriksha, what pleasant things he did not think, he immediately received them. But when he thought of the bad, it also came to him

The sacred books are full of stories and legends containing instructive allegories.

The whole world is under the shadow of a huge Kalpavriksha. We all take refuge in the shadow cast by its spreading crown. If we think bad things, then bad things happen to us; if we think good things, only good things await us. Therefore, if our thoughts, speech and deeds are pure, Kalpavriksha, or the World Tree of Desires, will give us all the best, to which our thoughts and motives will be directed. Both good and evil come from our heart. Sadness and joy do not come from outside. Therefore, the first thing to start with is to cleanse your heart of evil.

SEARCH FOR A TEACHER

How to find the Teacher, and most importantly - to recognize him, especially in our time, when there are so many false teachers? Here, in choosing a teacher, the talent of a person, the ability to recognize are even more important than anywhere else. The question arises how to find a true teacher. Very often people are in doubt, not knowing who is in front of them - a real or a false teacher. In this world where there are so many lies, it is not uncommon for a person to come into contact with a false teaching and a teacher. One of the criteria for the falsity of the doctrine is the deprivation of a person of the initial freedom of choice. If the doctrine requires its adherents to renounce earthly life, fanatical service to the teacher, transferring their property and fortune to him, then it makes sense to doubt this whole doctrine as a whole.

A real teacher protects the right of freedom of choice for his students, even if they really want to lose this freedom, shifting all responsibility for making their own decisions to the teacher.

Many are attracted by the so-called superpowers of some teachers. Very often, on the contrary, the emergence of unique abilities (naturally or artificially) leads a person to the sin of pride, to exalt himself and belittle the role higher powers, which ultimately contributes to the spiritual choice towards evil.

In our era, the problem of false sources has become especially relevant. Both in Russia and abroad, many false teachings and false teachers have appeared, luring them into the snares of darkness or into best case simply leading away from the true knowledge of people who are interested in questions of spiritual self-improvement.

Since the 1990s, it has been printed in Russia great amount literature on black magic, courses and schools have been opened and continue to open that develop psychic abilities of people. The danger of such schools is very great.

But no less important is the question of pseudo-disciples. What qualities should a true disciple have? How to find the Path and stay on the Path of spiritual discipleship?

“Everyone receives a Teacher according to consciousness”, - it is said in Agni Yoga. What are we really looking for? What are our true motives, expectations, aspirations? There may be a heartfelt striving for knowledge, or there may be a selfish striving with the hope of asserting oneself, developing extraordinary abilities in oneself, a hidden striving for power. True aspiration is already creativity. It has to do with the sincerity of the student, with the ability to learn. “The lips of wisdom are open only to the ears of understanding,” they said in Ancient Egypt. In the East, it is believed that the spiritual seeker turns into a disciple, gaining knowledge of how to learn, what discipleship is. First of all, he must "learn how to learn." Krishnamurti talked about the art of learning, which includes the art of listening and seeing.

A true seeker - one who is true to himself, will always find the truth, find the real, because his true faith, sincerity and seriousness in the search becomes his torch. “If the student does not yearn for knowledge, then there is neither student nor teacher,” says Sufi wisdom.

The teacher leads the student to understand inner nature. The true teacher is inside, the true "I" of a person is in love with the truth, and the one who really seeks the truth will surely find a suitable teacher sooner or later. Sri Ramakrishna's favorite disciple, Swami Vivekananda, once asked how to recognize a real Teacher. Ramakrishna gave this answer: “First of all, the sun does not need the light of fire in order for us to see it. We will not light a candle to see the sun. When it rises, we unconsciously guess about it; and when an earthly teacher comes to help us, the soul knows unconsciously that it has received the truth. The truth speaks for itself; she doesn't need anyone's evidence; she shines own light. It penetrates into the most secluded corners of our nature and then the whole Universe stands up and says: “Yes, it’s true!” (Sri Ramakrishna. Selected passages from the Gospel, p.260.

But if a person is not ready internally, then even having met the Teacher, he will not recognize him. Sufi story tells about it.

One young man went in search of a teacher. As soon as he left his village, he saw an old man sitting under a tree. The sun was sinking below the horizon, night was approaching. The young man addressed the old man, “You look like a wanderer, and you are definitely not from my village. I am young and I am looking for a teacher. You are old; perhaps you have met a teacher in your travels. It will be generous of you if you help me with any directions - for I do not know where to go.
The old man said, “I will describe everything to you in detail. The teacher looks like this ... ”- and he described the face of the teacher, his eyes, nose, beard, clothes. "And he always sits under a certain tree," and he gave a description of the tree.
And the old man said: "You will find him, just remember these distinctive features. When you find a person who meets these criteria, know that you have found your teacher."
Thirty years have passed. The young man is old and tired.
He never met a person matching the description given by the old man. In the end, he dropped the idea of finding a teacher: "Probably there is no teacher at all." And he went home. On the way to my native village, under the same tree... It was at dawn, there was more light.
The old man got even older. At the first meeting he was sixty years old, and now all ninety. And because for thirty years this man has been looking for certain eyes, a certain nose, a certain beard, a certain dress, a certain tree...
When he saw the tree and the old man, he exclaimed, “My God! Is that how you described yourself? Why didn't you tell me right away? Why did you make me wander the world looking for you while you were sitting here?”
The old man said, “First of all, calm your anger and I will tell you everything. Thirty years ago you were too young. And the time was not right: it was sunset, darkness was gathering. And you were in such a hurry to go looking that if I had told you that I was a teacher, you would have laughed and said: “It is strange that you are sitting on the outskirts of my village!” And you can't blame me, because I described everything in detail, but your eyes were fixed on the distance. You listened to me, but did not bother to look at me and see that I was describing my eyes, nose, beard, clothes and the tree under which I sat. Then you are not yet mature. These thirty years have not been in vain, they have brought you to maturity. Now you can recognize me. Look... the sun is rising - the time is right. And this is not the beginning of your wanderings, you have already abandoned the very idea of finding a teacher. You met me again after thirty years of strenuous effort. What is given as a gift is difficult to recognize. You had to pay thirty years of trials to reach maturity enough to recognize me. I could have told you on that day of our first meeting - but it would have been useless, you would not have believed me.
And do you think that these thirty years were difficult for you? And you thought about me - what was it like for me to sit under this tree for thirty years? After all, I described this tree to you. And I did not leave here for a single day, because I knew that you could come at any time, and if you had not found me here, then I would have been a liar. I have sat here for thirty years, day after day, winter and summer, rain and heat. And you see: I'm old. I was disturbed by the thought that if I died before you arrived, it would be a tragedy. So I tried somehow to cling to life - because, as far as I am concerned, I have already realized myself. Life gave me everything it could, nothing left. I've been sitting here just for you."

If a person is not ready, the teacher may be around, but he will not notice him or react to him in any way. If we do not know what a diamond is, then we can, having met with it, not pay attention to it and pass by, mistaking it for an ordinary piece of glass. Moreover, we can mistake a piece of glass for a diamond and admire it all our lives.

Hazrat Inayat Khan, the great musician of India, a Sufi teacher, said that, once in the West, he saw the main difficulty Western people in that they are closed to learning. The difficulty is that they all want to teach... Through our whole life we can carry our apprenticeship, and the teaching will always come to us both from within and without. As soon as we become teachers, we close our hearts and life ceases to be our teacher...

At the search stage, the student often becomes too rational, ignoring the voice of intuition, or, conversely, becomes too emotional, ignoring his intellect and common sense... Emotional Approach as dangerous as the rational: both feed the ego. All those who do not believe in discipline have no hope of spiritual attainment. A necessary factor is the purification of one's mind, which is achieved by controlling one's thoughts, feelings, actions and speech. Swami Rama, heir to the glorious tradition of the Himalayan sages, says in Life Among the Himalayan Yogis: “If you are looking for a guru, start by looking within. To become a yogi means to know your own own state here and now, work with yourself. Don't complain about not having a teacher. Better ask if you deserve it. Are you able to attract a teacher to you?

Once, when I complained to my teacher about not teaching me, he said: “Okay, let me be your student. and you become a teacher. Do exactly the same as me."

"But I don't know what to do."

"Don't worry, you'll find out," he said, and, imitating me, took the bowl, which contained big hole and coming up to me with eyes closed, said:

"Master, give me something."

“How can I give you something. I objected to him, “if there is such a hole in your bowl?”

Then he opened his eyes and said:

“How can I give you something if you have a hole in your head?”

Build your potential. Purify yourself. Master that power. what is inside you...

If you want to meet an authentic teacher, you must first prepare yourself." (Rama Swami. Life, p.321-322).

According to H.P. Blavatsky, “the mistake of Western psychology is that it considers the personal ego the only object for its research” (H.P. Blavatsky Science of Life, p. 26)

Our inner ego, higher self is our true teacher. It was not for nothing that in ancient Egypt it was believed that the “I” (Higher Ego) chooses the method of teaching “I”. One of the Tibetan spiritual teachers said that our inner teacher is constantly working for our evolution, using all sorts of skillful ways and all sorts of situations to teach and awaken us and return us to the truth. Only with the heart can we, according to H.I. Roerich, come closer to the consciousness of the Teacher, for his consciousness is in the heart (Letters to E. Roerich, 13.10.29).

“When we have been praying for truth, hankering after it and longing for it for a very long time, for many, many lives, and when our karma has become sufficiently purified, something like a miracle happens. And this miracle, if we are able to understand and use it, can lead to the fact that we can forever end ignorance: that inner teacher who has always been with us, manifests itself in the form of an “outer teacher”, which we, as if by magic, and we meet. This meeting is the most important event all of our lives.

Who is this outer teacher? None other than the embodiment and voice of our inner teacher. The master whose human species, human voice and wisdom, we begin to love with such a love that deeper than any other love of our lives is something other than a manifestation of the mystery of our own inner truth. What else can explain why we feel such a strong connection with this person.

At the deepest and highest level master and teaching are not and never can be in any way separate; for the purpose of the master is to teach us to perceive, without any interference, the clear message of our own inner teacher and to bring us to the awareness of the constant presence of this higher teacher in us. I wish all of you to experience in this life the joy of this most perfect look friendship" (
