Interchange of the northeast chord. Launch of the Northeast Expressway

Northeast Chord with a length of 26.6 km will connect the south-east and north of Moscow along the periphery. It began to be built as a continuation of the only already erected section of the Fourth Ring Road in the area of the Enthusiasts Highway.

The chord will pass from toll road Moscow - St. Petersburg from the western side of Oktyabrskaya railway, along the Small Ring of Moscow Railways to new interchange on the Moscow Ring Road at the intersection with the Veshnyaki - Lyubertsy highway. The route will connect major highways in the north-eastern part of Moscow: Izmailovskoye, Shchelkovskoye, Dmitrovskoye, Altufevskoye and Otkrytoye highways.

I have somehow got used to the fact that in the area of the Enthusiasts Highway there is an endless construction. Flyovers are erected from above, something is opened or closed there. But that such a construction was unfolding there, I realized only when I saw it from above. Let's look at the section under construction (and partially operating) from the Entuziastov highway to the Shchelkovo highway.

1. General scheme chord traces.

2. Interchange under construction from the highway of Enthusiasts.

3. And her scheme.

4. But you understand the scale of this only from above.

5. "Oh." This is what I said when I saw these frames on the screen.

6. A new interchange is being built between an oil refinery, an oil storage facility, and a bunch of railway tracks.

7. General view.

8. And what about the two railway tracks on the left that rise to the embankment?

9. Fantastic denouement.

10. Partially traffic on it was opened in September 2012.

11. On the site of the construction complex there is a huge PDF with a diagram of this site. Beware, the file is very heavy and complex.

12. Surprisingly, the Moscow Electrode Plant was not touched. By the way, if you believe the map, then there was a separate railway section on it. It is clear that it is not used, but it is clearly visible in the satellite image.

13. The site that was opened in 2012 rests on such a ridiculous exit to the Second Street of the Izmailovsky Menagerie.

14. Very nice new bridges of the district railway.

15. Ahead - Schelkovskoe highway.

16. And there - the highway of Enthusiasts.

17. Here, communications are in full swing. Where it is free or has already been shifted, the construction of a flyover begins.

18. Pay attention to how many pits have been dug for communications.

19. The very beginning of the construction of the flyover.

20. It costs a hell of a lot of money to transfer all these communications :(

21. The bridge of the district railway and the station on it.

22. And finally, the future interchange with Shchelkovo highway.

23. I remember that there were industrial zones and garages here...

24. General view.

25. Here the chord of Shchelkovo highway will cross in the tunnel.

26. Interestingly, did the designers of the stall take into account that there would be a tunnel here, or now they had to puzzle over how to untie this knot?

27. Letter Zyu.

28. It's sad here at rush hour. :(

30. Tolerate. Will be completed soon.

31. Former Cherkizon.

33. Former Central Stadium of the USSR. I. V. Stalin. It began to be built in 1932 according to the design of the architect N. Ya. Kolli. The project has been partially implemented. The stadium had to accommodate 100 thousand spectators and was designed in such a way that military parades could be held there. It was assumed that the tanks would be able to freely enter the stadium and leave it in columns. In connection with the beginning of the Great Patriotic War construction was put on hold. According to legend, there is a tunnel from the stadium to the Partizanskaya metro station. As the degree of drinking increases, the tunnel turns from a pedestrian tunnel into a tank one, which goes all the way to the Kremlin. To the question "why?" the narrators were unable to answer.

Good news for those who travel around Moscow by car. traffic jams today will become smaller. A new section of the North-Eastern chord will help to unload them - traffic was allowed today along the section from Shchelkovskoye Highway to Otkrytoye.

More than five kilometers of roadway, along with new interchanges and exits. And in a couple of years, this segment will become part of a 35-kilometer highway that will connect the southeast of the capital with the northwest.

Crossroads of Shchelkovo highway and the North-Eastern chord. Motorists have already managed to test the open new route in some places. The equipment was brought here in the fall of the 16th. Multi-level flyovers and a tunnel were built so as not to block the Shchelkovo highway. And yet another segment of the chord from Shchelkovsky to open highway built in record time.

“According to the contract, three and a half years are allotted for this, we played for three years, and built the first stage in less than two years,” said Petr Aksenov, First Deputy Head of the Moscow Construction Department.

From almost five kilometers new road almost three stand on supports due to the peculiarities of the landscape. Crews work in two shifts, night and day. By the end of the year, 2/3 of the chords will be commissioned.

“More than 40 large artificial structures have already been built - these are tunnels, overpasses, interchanges. The most difficult, very important and expected project for motorists. In total, the construction length of the roads is more than a hundred kilometers, this year 75 kilometers will be built and put into operation. Directly or indirectly, this will affect the traffic situation in almost half of the city,” said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

Along the way, approaches to the highway are being reconstructed. As a result, even in an unfinished form, the chord improves the transport situation in an area with a population of 900,000 people.

“I wanted to thank the builders. A great gift for the upcoming City Day. Well done for coping with this difficult task,” the mayor said.

The capital's road network has been reformed for seven years. During this time, more than 800 kilometers of roads have been built and reconstructed. Hundreds of overpass tunnels and passages have been erected. Until 23, Moscow will build almost five hundred new roads. The flagship project is, of course, chords.

When work on all sections of the route is completed, the North-Eastern Chord will reduce the load on the Moscow Ring Road, the Third Transport Ring and outbound highways in the north and east of Moscow by 40,000 cars per hour, and there will be four such chords in the capital.

Some like southeast chord, while they are only being designed, the rest are already under construction. Multi-lane roads will not only intersect with each other, forming the Fourth Ring Road. The chords will be connected to interchanges with existing ring roads.

The next and most difficult section of the North-Eastern Chord is planned to be commissioned in 2018. It will connect the M11 Moscow-Petersburg toll highway and Dmitrovskoe highway. Today, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin inspected the progress of the road construction and was pleased with the pace of work.

"We have started the most difficult section road network Moscow. One lot to st. We have already done the festival one, now we have started the second section, which almost entirely consists of flyovers, overpasses, tunnels and a bridge. We hope that in 2018 we will finish it, ”the Moscow agency quotes the mayor.

It is not the first or even the second year that Moscow has been building three major roads - the North-Eastern chord, the North-Western and Southern Rocade. However, as it turned out, not all citizens know what it is and why it is needed. So MOSLENTA decided to remind and start from the North-East.

Where and where

The North-Eastern chord (another name is the "Northern Rocade") will connect the south-east and north of Moscow along the periphery, i.e. the most densely populated areas cities. It began to be built as a continuation of the only already erected section of the Fourth Transport Ring (ChTK, it was abandoned). The route will also connect major highways of the northeast: Izmailovskoye, Shchelkovskoye, Dmitrovskoye, Altufevskoye and Otkrytoye highways, which will reduce traffic congestion.

The total length of the road will be 29 km. The chord will pass from toll road M11 Moscow-Petersburg from the western side of the Oktyabrskaya railway, along the Small Ring of the Moscow Railway to a new interchange on the Moscow Ring Road at the intersection with the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy highway.

The section under construction of the North-East Chord from festival street to Dmitrovsky highway

Conventionally, it is divided into several sections, which are now in different stages readiness:

From Businovskaya interchange to Festivalnaya Street (opened in 2014);

From Festivalnaya Street to Dmitrovskoye Highway (under construction, inspected today);

From Dmitrovsky to Yaroslavl highway(projected);

From Yaroslavskoe to Otkrytoye shosse (routing not defined);

From Otkrytoye to Shchelkovo highway (projected);

From Shchelkovsky to Izmailovskoye highway (under construction);

From Izmailovsky highway to the highway of Enthusiasts (under construction);

From the Entuziastov highway to the interchange at 8 km of the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy MKAD (projected).

Associated infrastructure

Northeast chord under construction rapidly. In September, a year earlier than planned, several objects were put into operation at once on the section from Shchelkovskoye to Izmailovsky Highway: two flyovers of the main passage and one as part of a three-level interchange at the intersection of the chord with Shchelkovskoye Highway. This section will be completed by the end of the year.

Also, a lot of additional road infrastructure will be built on the road:

Overpass of the main passage No. 1, 333 meters long with four lanes;

The left overpass of the main passage No. 2, 1.5 kilometers long, with four traffic lanes;

The right overpass of the main passage No. 2, 1.56 kilometers long, with four traffic lanes;

Overpass of the main passage No. 4 with a length of 600 meters with three traffic lanes in each direction;

Three ramps-congress with a total length of 977 meters;

Railway overpass 189 meters long on the connecting branch of the Oktyabrskaya railway;

The bridge over the Likhoborka River is 169 meters long with six traffic lanes in one direction and five in the opposite direction. Such a width of the bridge is needed to connect the next section of the chord - from Dmitrovsky highway to Yaroslavsky.

Pumping station "Khovrinskaya", serving the districts of Khovrino, Koptevo, Savelovsky, Timiryazevsky;

Underground pedestrian crossing at the platform of the Oktyabrskaya railway;

Two treatment facilities;

Five thousand window blocks will be replaced with soundproof ones.

Benefit

The highway, together with all these facilities, should make life easier for four million citizens, the authorities are sure. For example, end-to-end communication will be established between the regions of the South-Eastern Administrative District, the Northern Administrative District and the Eastern Administrative District, bypassing the center, new routes will appear public transport. It will be especially convenient for residents of the Golovinsky, Koptevo and Timiryazevsky districts.

A definite plus for drivers is that traffic will be traffic-free. The average travel time will be reduced by more than 15 percent, the Moscow Ring Road will be unloaded by 20–25 percent, and the traffic flows of the Third Ring Road, Shchelkovo Highway, Entuziastov Highway, as well as Ryazansky and Volgogradsky Avenues will be intelligently redistributed. Well, traveling along the M11 Moscow-Petersburg highway will not need to look for ways to the center.

Design History

The idea of creating chords in Moscow was proposed in the first half of the 20th century. In the 1930s, the well-known planner and urbanist Anatoly Yakshin spoke about them. Later, already in the 1970s, his students, including the leading Russian expert in the field of transport planning Alexander Strelnikov, again returned to the discussion of this topic.

Although at that time there were few cars on the streets of the capital, even then they thought that their number would grow. Therefore, the concept of chords was laid down in the general plan of the city in 1971. In addition to the Moscow Ring Road and the Garden Ring, two new ring roads and four high-speed chord highways were designed in it. However, then the projects remained on paper. Gradually, sections were built up on which they were going to build roads, and the money was eventually invested in the Third Transport Ring, and then in the Fourth.

The idea to build chords was resurrected only in 2011. Then the authorities abandoned the construction of the Fourth Transport Ring, which was previously included in the general plan. The main reason is excessive high price, which exceeded a trillion rubles.

Instead of the ChTK, they were going to build three new highways: the North-Western chord, the North-Eastern chord (another name is the Northern Rocade) and the Southern Rokada. These roads should eventually form an open ring system. The result will be the same ring, but more efficient in terms of the distribution of traffic flows, because each element will go to the Moscow Ring Road. According to experts, this principle of traffic organization is 20 percent more efficient than a closed system. ring road. In addition, three new chords will not pass through the congested city center.

This autumn, the North-Eastern and Northwest Chord in Moscow will be connected by a turning overpass on Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street. Pyotr Aksenov, First Deputy Head of the Construction Department, told journalists about this when he visited one of the sections of the North-Eastern Expressway under construction.

As RG already wrote, the metropolitan chords can be compared with the Moscow Ring Road or the Third Transport Ring in terms of the scale of construction and the impact on city traffic. They will save Muscovites from tens of kilometers of reruns, which they are now forced to do in order to get to the neighboring area. Chords will allow you to cross the city through and through, without stopping at the historical center. Both highways will be free.

In particular, the SZH will run from Dmitrovsky to Skolkovskoye Highway, and the SZH will run from the Moscow-St. Petersburg toll road to the interchange at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road and the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy interchange. After the highways are fully launched, the load on the outbound routes, according to the calculations of the NI and PI of the General Plan of Moscow, will decrease by 20-25 percent.

Separate sections of chords are already used by motorists, and some of their elements are still being completed. For example, the junction of Festivalnaya Street and Dmitrovskoye Highway. It is almost 11 km long, and half of this path goes along bridges and flyovers. Artificial constructions they were specially designed so that they went as far as possible from the houses and did not cause inconvenience to their inhabitants. Nevertheless, just in case, in the skyscrapers of the northeast, builders replaced 6,000 windows with silent ones. However, construction is already over. Visually, the overpasses are almost ready, there is still something left to finish on the engineering side.

We have indeed completed 90 percent of the work, Aksenov said. - But there was a slight delay. On one of the plots there is the Khovrinsky pumping station, where communications need to be shifted. In winter, this could not be done so that 3.5 thousand would not suffer local residents whose houses are powered by it.

Turning off the station, it turned out, is possible only on May 15. According to Aksenov, it is possible to launch the northern section of the chord by the City Day in September. This will complete the work for almost the entire length of the temporary storage warehouse. Construction is still ongoing on the section between Schelkovskoye and Otkrytoye Highways.

In the near future, in the southwest of the city, the North-Eastern passage will connect with the North-West. In the area of Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street, it is planned to build several connecting overpasses at once. The first of them, a reversal, will be completed in October this year. It allows you to drive from one chord track to another without wasting time on a detour. Dmitrov highway. Let me note that the Moscow authorities expect to complete both chords by 2020-2021.

In late August - early September, three sections of the North-Eastern Expressway (SVKh) under construction were opened one after another. One is in the north of the city (Dmitrovskoye Highway - Festivalnaya Street), the other two are in the Eastern Administrative District: these are segments from the Open Highway. to Shchelkovsky and from sh. Enthusiasts to the Moscow Ring Road.

Now you can rush along the chord without a single stop from Open sh. to the Kosino-Ukhtomsky area, leaving the Moscow Ring Road, where the temporary storage warehouse passes into the Kosinskoye sh. Which was tested in practice by a VO correspondent.

From Open to Shchelkovsky

On Open sh. I'm driving along Losinoostrovskaya street. It is a pity that the chord has not yet reached it - you have to give a big detour. However, this is planned to be done in the first quarter of 2019. And while I'm on my way to finished site TSW, moving along Otkrytoye sh. towards the center. In front of the bridge over the MCC there is a rather inconspicuous temporary sign "Schelkovskoye Highway".

Following him, I fall under the bridge. Subsequently, a rather complicated outcome will appear here, since different directions the chords here will go along different levels: from Click - under the Open Highway, in reverse side- over it. This design is due to tightness due to the existing dense building. The upper overpass is already ready, but so far it does not lead anywhere, the traffic is moving according to a temporary scheme: in both directions along the lower carriageway. However, there are still few cars here.

Outside the interchange begins a superb new section - four lanes in each direction! Despite the current restriction in the city, most drivers immediately accelerate clearly over a hundred - the temptation is too great!

However, practical use from such a rush is not great: even moving no faster than 60 km / h, after a minute and a half I drive up to the tunnel through which the chord passes under the Shchelkovsky highway. Before, moving to a detour to get here, you had to spend 10-15 minutes - and then when there are no traffic jams.

The 480 m long tunnel, which was built for more than one month, is the most complex element opened area. Here, too, four lanes are provided in each direction, not counting two more lanes, along which transport enters from the chord from the side of the Open Highway. to Shchelkovskoye in the direction of the region - part of this lobe of the interchange also passes through the tunnel.

Another element of the same interchange was opened - an overpass, which allows when driving along Shchelkovskoye sh. from the side of the Moscow Ring Road, turn right onto the chord in the direction of Otkrytoye sh. And under it, a turn from the chord to the right to Amurskaya Street has earned for those who travel along the temporary storage warehouse from the side of the highway. Enthusiasts.

I, having driven straight through the tunnel, find myself on a section of the chord, open for a long time and well known to the drivers of the HLW. On it for about five minutes, at the same unhurried pace, I reach sh. Enthusiasts.

Along the chord - beyond the Moscow Ring Road

next new temporary storage area begins with a grand overpass over sh. Enthusiasts, which is almost empty even in the evening. It seems that few of the drivers have mastered new route. However, for sure this will happen soon - the chord is very convenient compared to Click and sh. Enthusiasts for those who need to get from here to the Moscow Ring Road!

After a kilometer or so, the road ends straight ahead. It will be extended later: another new highway will start from here - the South-Eastern Chord (SE). In the meantime, the entire flow goes to the right to the loop of the future junction of the SVKh and SVKh. We go down along it and pass under the overpass, along which we just drove. By the way, the view from this loop is amazing: a huge road overpass, under it - the MCC, and even lower - the path of the radial railway line passing under the MCC through the tunnel. The spirit is captivating!

After the interchange, an almost straight segment of the TSW to the MKAD itself, more than 7 km long, begins, running along the tracks of the Kazan direction. From it there is a congress to Kuskovskaya street, passing under the chord (at the same interchange, you can get from Kuskovskaya to the temporary storage warehouse in the opposite direction - to the highway of Entuziastov and Click). And moving along the chord in reverse direction, you can turn not only to sh. Enthusiasts, but if necessary, and directly to Budyonny Avenue.

I continue to move towards the region, and soon I pass along the Kosinsky overpass over the Moscow Ring Road, ending up on Kosinsky Highway. in the area of Kosino-Ukhtomsky. All the way from the overpass over sh. It takes a little more than nine minutes for enthusiasts to cross the Kosinsky Highway with Saltykovskaya Street at a very moderate speed - thanks to total absence any delays.
