Northeast chord completion of construction. Section of the northeast chord opened

Open car traffic by site Northeast chord from the Enthusiasts Highway to the Moscow Ring Road, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said today.

“I could not deny myself the pleasure - I drove from the Kosinskaya interchange to the Enthusiasts highway, the highway turned out to be first-class. In fact, this is one of the most difficult sections of the North-Eastern Expressway, in itself it is very difficult engineering, the longest overpass in the city - 2.5 km of a straight line,” said S. Sobyanin.
On the new route, you can drive from the Kosinskaya overpass on the Moscow Ring Road to the Open Highway. Now in Moscow there is a traffic lightless road 20 km long (taking into account previously introduced sections).
The construction of the section of the North-Eastern Expressway (SVKh) from the Entuziastov Highway to the Moscow Ring Road began in February 2016 and was completed in September 2018.
The traffic light highway runs from the temporary storage warehouse section at the intersection with the Entuziastov highway, further - from north side Kazan direction of the Moscow Railway to the exit to the Moscow Ring Road (Kosinskaya overpass).
A total of 11.8 km of roads were built, including six overpasses with a total length of 3.7 km. As part of the site, the longest overpass in Moscow was built, 2.5 km long, from the Plushevo platform of the Moscow Railways to the overpass-exit from the street. Perovskaya at temporary storage warehouse. In addition, a flyover has been erected, from which you can drive off the chord to Perovskaya Street.
From the side of residential development in the area of Kuskovskaya and Anosova streets, as well as near the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Veshnyaki district, noise barriers 3 meters high were installed for more than 1.5 km.
“This is one of the most difficult areas. 60% of the route passes over the communications of Mosvodokanal. We had to perform a lot of work to strengthen these communications over a distance of 12 kilometers,” said Petr Aksenov, First Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Construction.
Pedestrians have also been taken care of. The new crossings will make it easier to get to the Vykhino metro station, the Vykhino and Plyushchevo platforms, the Assumption Church and the Veshnyakovskoe cemetery.
The launch of a new section of the chord will make it possible to distribute traffic flows and reduce the load on Ryazan Avenue, Entuziastov Highway and Schelkovskoye Highway, as well as to the eastern sectors of the Moscow Ring Road and the Third Ring Road.
The transport situation in the southeastern and eastern sectors of the city will improve significantly, entry into central part the capital for residents of the Kosino-Ukhtomsky and Nekrasovka districts located outside the Moscow Ring Road, and residents of Lyubertsy near Moscow.

Recall that the North-Eastern Expressway will run from the M11 Moscow-St. Petersburg highway to the Kosinskaya overpass (interchange at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road with the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy highway).
The length of the temporary storage warehouse will be about 35 km. The road will pass in 28 districts of Moscow and 10 large industrial zones, which, with its arrival, will have an opportunity for development.

Along the section of the North-Eastern Expressway (SVKh) from the Entuziastov Highway to the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) started the movement transport. New track redistribute traffic flows and reduce the load on outbound highways.

“In fact, this is one of the most difficult sections of the North-Eastern Expressway and, in general, of any road construction in Moscow: great amount of communications of operating enterprises, docking with the railway, the site itself is very complex. This is the largest and longest overpass in the city - 2.5 kilometers of a straight line, as well as the most important section. It will improve transport accessibility for a million people living in about ten districts of Moscow, including those beyond the Moscow Ring Road: Nekrasovka, Kosino-Ukhtomsky and a number of other districts, ”said Sergei Sobyanin.

The section of the North-Eastern Expressway from the Entuziastov Highway to the Moscow Ring Road began to be built in February 2016 and completed in September 2018. This is twice as fast normative period of construction.

“Next, we will connect sections of the chord in the north and create a new city highway. By the way, this is one of the few sections that does not run along existing corridors, but creates, in fact, a new corridor. It will improve the situation on Shchelkovskoye and Otkrytoye Highways, as well as on the Entuziastov Highway and the Moscow Ring Road. The most important section, the most important highway,” added the Mayor of Moscow.

Six lanes and no traffic lights

A traffic-free six-lane highway runs from the existing temporary storage warehouse section at the intersection with the Entuziastov highway, then from the north side of the Kazan direction of the Moscow railway(MZD) to the exit to the Kosinskaya flyover of the Moscow Ring Road. Total paved 1 1,8 kilometers of roads, including six flyovers.

On this site chords were built the longest overpass in Moscow- 2.5 kilometers of direct travel from railway platform Plyushchevo to the overpass-exit from Perovskaya street to temporary storage warehouse.

“This is one of the most difficult sections, because 2.5 kilometers are artificial structures in the form of an overpass running parallel to the railway. This is the most complex element, which we had to implement during construction,” said Petr Aksenov, First Deputy Head of the Moscow City Construction Department.

Thanks to this engineering solution, it was possible to preserve the existing regional road network. In addition, the overpass can be used to cross the tracks of the Kazan direction of the Moscow Railways.

The structure includes:

- overpass of the main passage No. 1 (1.8 kilometers, three lanes in each direction) and two single-lane overpasses (each - 143 meters). They provide traffic without traffic lights at the intersection with railroad tracks Gorky direction Moscow Railways and exits to Kuskovskaya Street;

— the left overpass of the main passage No. 2 (740 meters, three lanes in each direction), which provides entry from Budyonny Prospekt and traffic along the straight line of the temporary storage warehouse towards the Moscow Ring Road;

— the right overpass of the main passage No. 2 (650 meters, three lanes in each direction) provides access to Budyonny Avenue and promising direction towards Ryazansky Prospekt along the ways of Moskovsky central ring(MCC).

In addition, a flyover No. 3 (204 meters, two traffic lanes in each direction) appeared, along which you can go from the temporary storage warehouse to Perovskaya Street.

Also built or reconstructed congresses to adjacent streets and access roads with a total length of more than four kilometers.

From the residential area in the area of Kuskovskaya and Anosova streets, as well as near the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Veshnyaki, noise barriers three meters high and over one and a half kilometers long.

Pedestrian crossings

The most important part of the project was the construction and reconstruction of pedestrian crossings. Through the new spacious passage under the temporary storage warehouse, residents of Veshnyakov can comfortable to get to the metro station and railway platform Vykhino.

The reconstructed pedestrian crossing in the area of 4th Veshnyakovsky passage connects with the Assumption Church and the Veshnyakovsky cemetery.

The transition in the area of the Plyushchevo railway platform is useful for those who like to walk in Kuskovo estate park.

New transport artery

The construction of the temporary storage warehouse section from the Entuziastov highway to the Moscow Ring Road made it possible to redistribute traffic flows and reduce the load on outbound routes— Ryazansky Prospekt, Entuziastov Highway and Shchelkovskoye Highway, as well as to the eastern sectors of the Moscow Ring Road and the Third Transport Ring (TTK).

In addition, the transport situation in southeast and east sectors of the city, entry into Moscow for residents of the Kosino-Ukhtomsky and Nekrasovka districts located outside the Moscow Ring Road, as well as for residents of the city of Lyubertsy, Moscow Region, has become much easier. In the future, the chord section will provide a direct connection with the understudy federal highway Moscow - Kazan.

North-Eastern chord will link the new route M11 Moscow- St. Petersburg with the Kosinskaya flyover (namely, the interchange at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road with the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy highway). The road will connect the major highways of the city: MKAD, Entuziastov highway, Izmailovskoe, Shchelkovskoe, Yaroslavskoe, Altufevskoe, Otkrytoe and Dmitrovskoe highways.

In addition, from the chord it will be possible to go to 15 large Moscow streets, including Festivalnaya, Selskokhozyaistvennaya streets, Berezovaya alley, 3rd Nizhnelikhoborsky proezd, Amurskaya, Shcherbakovskaya, Perovskaya, Yunosti, Papernika and others.

Near Bolshaya Akademicheskaya street The North-East chord will connect with the North-West, and in the area of the Entuziastov Highway - with the projected South-East. Thus, the North-Eastern chord will provide diagonal connection north, east and southeast of the capital. This will relieve the city center, the Third Ring Road, the Moscow Ring Road and outbound highways.

track new chord will go through 28 districts Moscow and 10 major industrial zones. With accession to one of the most important transport arteries of the capital, these industrial zones will also receive prospects for development.

The northeast chord will allow personal and public transport drive up to 12 transport hubs, 21 metro and MCC stations, as well as the platforms of the Savelovsky and Kazansky directions of the Moscow Railway.

The length of the main route of the North-East Expressway will be about 35 kilometers. AT total, taking into account exits and reconstruction road network, it is planned to build more 100 kilometers of roads 70 flyovers, bridges and tunnels (with a total length of about 40 kilometers) and 16 pedestrian crossings. Now, as part of the construction of the North-Eastern Expressway, 69 kilometers of roads 58 artificial structures(length 28 kilometers) and 13 pedestrian crossings.

On the this moment completed construction of sections of the North-Eastern Expressway:

— from Businovskaya transport interchange to festival street;

— from Izmailovsky to Schelkovo highway;

— from the highway of Enthusiasts to Izmailovsky highway;

- from the Enthusiasts highway to the Moscow Ring Road.

Contractors have two-year warranty obligations, despite the fact that all acts are accepted and signed.

“Contractors are not leaving, they have a number of works related to the railway at the new substation. This substation connects the second stage of the North-Eastern chord, which runs from Otkryty to Yaroslavl highway", - said Petr Aksenov.

Traffic will soon be opened along the section of the North-Eastern Expressway from Festivalnaya Street to Dmitrovskoe highway.

Sections of the chord from Dmitrovskoye to Yaroslavskoye and from Yaroslavskoye to Otkrytoye Highway are also being designed. As part of these sections, about 33 kilometers of roads.

Four chords

The chord lines are key element new road frame of Moscow, which has been created in the city for the last eight years. New chords are about 300 kilometers of new roads, 127 flyovers, bridges and tunnels and more 50 pedestrian crossings.

It is planned to build four such highways:

northwest chord — from Skolkovskoye to Dmitrovskoye highway;

northeast chord- from the new highway M11 Moscow - St. Petersburg to the Kosinskaya overpass;

southeast chord — from Entuziastov Highway to Polyany Street;

Southern Rocade - from Rublevsky highway to Kapotnya.

The construction of the section of the North-Eastern Expressway, which will connect the Entuziastov Highway and the Izmailovskoye Highway, the city authorities intend to complete within a year ahead of time by the end of the first half of 2016. Such a statement by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin after visiting the construction site. The 4 km long overpass will consist of eight lanes - four in each direction, and traffic on it will be carried out in a traffic light mode.

The North-Eastern Chord itself should connect the M11 Moscow-St. new interchange on the Moscow Ring Road at the intersection with the Veshnyaki - Lyubertsy highway.

Thus, new road will connect major highways in the north-east of the city: Dmitrovskoye, Altufevskoye, Yaroslavskoye, Shchelkovskoye, Entuziastov Highway and Otkrytoe Highway. According to the project, the length of the chord will be about 25 km. As conceived by officials, the highway, which is not planned to be paid, should reduce the traffic load on the Moscow Ring Road, the Third Ring Road, outbound highways, and also on the center of Moscow.

The mayor of the capital noted that the construction of the section from the Entuziastov highway to the Izmailovsky highway is comparable in complexity and cost to the infamous Alabyano-Baltic tunnel.

“At one time, this was intended for the fourth transport ring, but the project would even be technically unfeasible. And this huge amount of construction would have gone to waste. Therefore, today we are trying to integrate it into the North-Eastern chord. Before the end of the year, we must leave the Enthusiasts Highway with these overpasses and so on, to give full speed avenue," Sobyanin spoke about the prospects. —

The site is under construction ahead of schedule. Although we have a contract for 2017, we still need to try to finish in 2016.”

The mayor's office believes that with the advent of this overpass, the transport accessibility of the Sokolinaya Gora, Izmailovo and Preobrazhenskoye districts, located in the east of the city, will improve. “As a result, we will have completed three sections of the North-Eastern Expressway, and then the task will be to connect these sections with each other, giving an entire new city highway,” the mayor added.

Recall that the construction of the first section of the North-Eastern Expressway began in 2008. To date, traffic is open on the Businovskaya interchange - Festivalnaya street, on the Kosinskaya interchange and the intersection of the chord with the Entuziastov highway before turning onto the 2nd street of Izmailovsky Menagerie.

It is worth noting that the construction of the chord caused dissatisfaction among the residents of the areas through which it passes.

Among the main claims to officials - the location of the route in the immediate vicinity of residential buildings (50-60 m), the massive demolition of garages (about 2 thousand boxes), cutting down part of the territory (according to the survey plan, about 10 hectares) of the historical estate of the Sheremetev family "Kuskovo", and also the risk of failure of the largest collector in Moscow, through which approximately 40% of all Wastewater in the town.

Experts say that the vibration of the soil from the flow of cars can disable the collector, which will result in environmental catastrophe for the city.

“We are by no means against the construction of the chord. The area is choking on congestion, it needs a good transport infrastructure, but it is necessary during construction to take into account the interests of residents, under whose windows the highway will pass”, say the townspeople who signed the petition against the road construction project.

Expert opinions on the North-Eastern Chord

“Any construction brings inconvenience to local citizens and displeases residents, whether it is the construction of a major highway or the replacement of pipes in the yard of a residential building,” Alexei Tuzov, First Vice President of the AvtoSpetsCentre Group of Companies, told Gazeta.Ru. - AT this case I believe that temporary inconveniences, such as cutting down trees or demolishing garages, are justified. Moreover, after graduation construction works it is planned to carry out the improvement of the territories adjacent to the chord, including the planting of lawns, trees and shrubs and the creation of additional parking spaces.”

Mikhail Krestmein, head of the research and design department of transport and roads, considers it right that one of the first operating sections of the future chord will be an overpass between the Izmailovsky highway and the Entuziastov highway. “This is the most problematic place in the eastern sector of the city - there are practically no cross-links between highways and districts,” Krestmein told Gazeta.Ru.

The interlocutor noted that, since there are many large parks in the east of Moscow, all residents of the city are interested in this section of the chord.

“Certainly, the city needs chords, even if traffic jams occur on them,” Krestmein believes. - So we can say that the TTK was not worth building. But imagine what it would be like now in Moscow if all the cars from the Third Ring were lowered down. AT last years we were mainly engaged in the reconstruction of highways - for example, Kashirsky and Warsaw highway. Now, large-scale construction of new roads has finally begun, which have enormous efficiency indicators, since they provide cross connections and are laid around the city center.

Oleg Skvortsov, President of the Association of Road Research Organizations RODOS, also supports the idea of creating chord systems in Moscow. “We see that the ring roads that were built under Luzhkov do not solve transport problems,” Skvortsov told Gazeta.Ru. —

The chord, unlike the ring, has outlets outside the city. In addition, if you lay several chords, then they can form the same ring as a result. Another advantage is that a conventionally straight road is shorter than a curve, which means it is cheaper to build.”

Northwest Chord

No less controversy and controversy causes construction in Moscow and another chord - the North-West. One of its sections, the Alabyano-Baltic Tunnel, drew criticism from experts and dissatisfaction with local residents.

For the sake of building a tunnel only on the street People's Militia about 800 trees and almost 1.5 thousand shrubs were cut down. The amount of compensatory landscaping turned out to be several times less. At the same time, the region has not really gone anywhere yet.

“In 2014, compared to 2010 and 2011, there was a significant deterioration average speed movement,” the Cork Gate report says. — This deterioration following the opening of the Alabyano-Baltic Tunnel in the direction from Alabyan Street to Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street can be explained by the redistribution of transport demand from bypass highways to the section of the North-Western Chord, noting the presence of a gross design error, consisting in inadequately low bandwidth highway under construction. As a result of a design error, the new highway has been overloaded with chronic congestion since commissioning.”

In June current year a scandal erupted again around the construction of a section of the chord in the Shchukino region, connected with the decision of the authorities to close the through passage on the section of Narodnogo Opolcheniya Street from the intersection with Marshal Vershinin Street to the intersection with Marshal Tukhachevsky Street. The so-called winchester tunnel will pass under the street of the People's Militia, where oncoming traffic flows will not move in parallel, but on top of each other.

In the first days after the closure, many kilometers of traffic jams formed in the area. Only residents of 13 houses, which are located directly on Narodnogo Opolcheniya Street in the overlap zone, were issued passes and allowed to move along this site. All other motorists are forced to make a detour, bypassing the construction site. According to Moscow officials, such a measure will reduce the construction period of the tunnel by one year.

Recall that for the first time the authorities thought about the construction of the North-Western Expressway back in 1971. However, the highway project was postponed, and officials returned to this idea only in 2011.

It is planned to complete the construction of the route in 2017. The length of the entire chord will be approximately 29 km - it will stretch from Skolkovo to Yaroslavl highway. According to the project, two bridges, seven tunnels, 16 flyovers and 47 pedestrian crossings will be built along the entire road.

In addition to the two high-speed highways mentioned in Moscow, it is also planned to build the Southern Rocade, which will run from Rublevsky Highway to Borisovskie Prudy Street.

All these highways have become an alternative to the fourth transport ring, the construction of which the city officials refused in December 2010 due to the prohibitive cost of the project - about 1 trillion rubles.

It is planned to open traffic on two sections of the North-Eastern Expressway by the beginning of autumn. Within the next month, the initial section from the Businovskaya interchange to the Dmitrovskoye highway will go, and by the beginning of autumn it is also planned to launch traffic along the final section of the route - from the Entuziastov highway to the Moscow Ring Road.

Read about the stage of readiness of the sections of the North-Eastern Expressway and when they are supposed to be opened in the material of the Moscow 24 portal.

From Businovskaya interchange to Dmitrovskoye highway

Now the road between Dmitrovsky highway, Festivalnaya street and Businovskaya interchange almost ready, the builders are finishing the construction of a two-hundred-meter section in the area of the Khovrinsky pumping station.

"The Khovrinsky pumping station, which provided more than three and a half thousand consumers, got into the construction zone. We built new station, but they were able to disconnect all systems from the previous one only on May 15 of this year, and they began to build a two-hundred-meter section in a forced manner. We expect to finish in September. We will strive to open traffic for the City Day," Petr Aksenov, First Deputy Head of the Construction Department, told the Moscow 24 portal.

What is ready on the section from Dmitrovskoye Highway to Festivalnaya Street?

More than 11 kilometers of a four-lane road of the main course, seven overpasses, two of which are one and a half kilometers long and exits - from 300 to 500 meters long, were built on the site. built new overpass through the Oktyabrskaya railway and the bridge over the Likhoborka river.

“At the same time, the construction of the overpass across the railway went on without stopping the movement of trains,” said the first deputy head of Depstroy.

They also took care of protection from highway noise. “We have replaced 6,000 window blocks and will also build about 2 kilometers of noise barriers,” Aksyonov promised. Trees will be planted along the road, he said.

In October, a turning overpass will be built on Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street, connecting the North-Eastern chord with the North-Western one. "The flyover on Bolshaya Akademicheskaya is the first part of the connection of two chords. It makes it possible to turn around on Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street and drive onto the North-Eastern chord without stopping at Dmitrovskoye Highway," Aksenov said.

From the highway of Enthusiasts to the interchange with the Moscow Ring Road "Veshnyaki - Lyubertsy"

In September, it is planned to open traffic along one more section of the North-Eastern Expressway: from the Entuziastov Highway to the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy interchange on the Moscow Ring Road. Here, the old traction substation of the Gorky direction of the Moscow railway became a stumbling block. According to Petr Aksenov, the city government has agreed with the Moscow Railway to demolish the substation and build a new one.

"They turned off the traction substation and switched it to a new one, after which they began to complete the construction of the road. In in full traffic from the Enthusiasts highway to the Veshnyaki-Lyubertsy interchange with the Moscow Ring Road will open in early autumn," he promised.

From Open to Shchelkovo highway

By the end of the year, the city authorities plan to open traffic from Otkrytoye to Shchelkovo highway. Here, overpasses of the main passage and side passages were built. As well as the tunnel under the Shchelkovo highway, which is going to open in the coming months. According to Petr Aksenov, the construction of roads over eight kilometers long with the relocation of engineering communications goes full move.

"It is planned to open traffic on the section of the first section within the next month. The main work of the first stage of construction has been completed. It includes laying about 5.5 kilometers of roads, including the construction of three overpasses about 3.4 kilometers long," the official said.

He also noted that due to the commissioning of a new section, traffic flows between Shchelkovsky and open highway. This will reduce the traffic load on Bolshaya Cherkizovskaya, Stromynka, Krasnobogatyrskaya streets and Rusakovskaya embankment. In addition, the transport accessibility of the Golyanovo and Metrogorodok districts will increase.

From Dmitrovskoye Highway to Yaroslavskoye Highway

AT next year construction of a section of the North-Eastern Expressway from Dmitrovskoye to Yaroslavskoye Highway may begin.

"The planning project has been public hearings, finally received approval from the Moscow government, now the design is underway. The site is very difficult, there is a bunch of large industrial enterprises and a huge number of engineering networks. We are doing everything possible to start construction next year,” said the first deputy head of Depstroy.

He stressed that the design of the site and the release of the territory will be carried out at the expense of budget money. "We are already starting to work: demolishing garages and interacting with industrial enterprises that fall into the construction zone," Aksyonov said.

At the same time, there is a proposal from investors to build a road from Dmitrovsky to Yaroslavl highway on a concession basis, but final decision on this issue has not yet been accepted, he explained.

From Open to Yaroslavl Highway

The only section of the North-Eastern Expressway on which no work is being carried out yet is from Otkrytoye to Yaroslavskoye Highway.

"The problem is that, presumably, the road should go through national park "Moose Island"There is no final decision on the tracing of the site yet. The Moscow Committee for Architecture is working on it, when the department completes the work, then we will start talking about the construction of the site," Petr Aksenov summed up.

Moscow builders continue to implement one of the largest infrastructure projects in the capital, the North-Eastern Expressway (TSW), at a faster pace. The new route will provide end-to-end communication between the southeastern and northern regions cities. Chord will significantly reduce the congestion of the capital's roads and generally improve the transport situation for four million Muscovites. website we decided to find out how the construction is progressing and when the first cars will be able to drive along the highway.

Innovative concept

What is a chord? From school course geometry, we know that this is a segment connecting two points of the curve. But on the map of the capital, they take on a larger meaning, becoming highways connecting the outskirts of the city, but at the same time not crossing its central part.

For the first time, the idea of creating chords in the capital was proposed in the first half of the 20th century. In the 1930s, during the adoption of the first General Plan for the development of the city and the beginning of its comprehensive reconstruction, the well-known urbanist Anatoly Yakshin spoke about the construction of such highways in Moscow. Later, already in the 70s, this topic was raised by his students - experts in the field of transport planning.

Despite the fact that in those years there were incomparably fewer cars on the streets of Moscow, even then experts understood that it was impossible to stop the growth in the number of personal vehicles. This means that it is necessary to develop the city, taking into account further motorization.

The concept of chords was reflected in the General Plan of Moscow in 1971. It was supposed to add two new rings to the already existing city rings - MKAD and Sadovoe, as well as build four high-speed chord routes. But proper funding grandiose project did not receive, and remained on paper.

Gradually, the areas that were allocated for highways were built up with housing, business and shopping malls. But, as experts predicted, the transport situation in the capital has become seriously aggravated due to the continuous increase in the number of private cars.

Return to chords

In 2011, the leadership of the capital set the task of developing a set of measures to improve the transport situation in the city. First of all, Moscow refused to build the Fourth Ring Road. main reason- the huge cost of the project: the total "price tag" exceeded a trillion rubles.

Then it was decided to return to the concept of chord tracks.

Moscow City Hall has developed a clear plan further development road infrastructure of the capital. It provided qualitative improvement street network, problem solving " bottle necks" and "bottlenecks", but the main thing is the polycentric development of the capital.

This means the redistribution of business activity throughout the city, the creation of points of attraction for business activity not only in the center, but also on the periphery. Thanks to this, it will be possible to unload the center of Moscow and solve the problem of the so-called pendulum migration, when people from the outskirts of the city go to the central part in the morning and return together in the evening.

Instead of the Fourth Ring Road, the mayor's office made a fundamental decision to build chord highways: the North-Western, North-Eastern and Southern Rokada.

The chord system of the capital, if you look at the future map of Moscow from above, will resemble a ring, but with one significant advantage: the system will not close on itself, limiting the driver roundabout, its elements will have access to the Moscow Ring Road, exits and exits between each other at the intersections.

As a result, you will get an analogue of the ring, but with higher functionality and efficiency in the distribution of traffic flows.

Experts from the Institute of Transport Economics and Transport Policy of the National research university "graduate School economy" (NRU HSE) have repeatedly argued that Moscow needs the construction of chords. In their opinion, such an organization system is 20% more efficient than a closed ring.

From Festivalnaya to Dmitrovsky

One of the sections of the North-Eastern Expressway runs from Festivalnaya Street to Dmitrovskoye Shosse - directly along the line of the Oktyabrskaya Railway. Its construction began in February 2016. All work is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018. Total length section - 10.7 kilometers.

In total, four overpasses of the main passage and the same number of exit overpasses, a bridge across the Likhoborka River, an underground pedestrian crossing near the NATI station of the Oktyabrskaya Railway will appear along the way of the chord, treatment facilities. Builders will install soundproof blocks, lay new engineering communications. Also, within the framework of the temporary temporary storage warehouse Festivalnaya Street - Dmitrovskoye Highway, an overpass will appear on the connecting branch of the Oktyabrskaya Railway with a length of 189 meters.

As the head of the Moscow construction complex Marat Khusnullin noted earlier, the launch of traffic on this section will significantly improve the transport situation in the north of the capital. “If now, in order to get to Dmitrovka, residents of areas located near the Moscow Ring Road need to go to the ring, then along the chord they will go to the highway near the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya metro station,” he stressed.

With the wind

The section of the North-East Expressway from Festivalnaya Street to Dmitrovskoye Highway will provide a connection to Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street and access to the North-Western Expressway. The launch of the section will create a continuation and deeper entrance to the city of the expressway federal significance"Moscow - St. Petersburg" within the capital to Dmitrovsky highway and further towards the center. Chord highways will reduce the overrun of transport and total time moving around the city.

The commissioning of the site will redistribute traffic flows and reduce the load on the main transport routes in the north of the capital: Leningradskoe and Dmitrovskoe highways and the northern segment of the Moscow Ring Road. The situation will also improve inside the districts located there: Koptevo, Timiryazevsky, Golovinsky with total strength population of several hundred thousand people.

Work progress

Currently working on section of temporary storage warehouse from Festivalnaya Street to Dmitrovskoye Highway 75% completed. The overpass of the main passage No. 1 is 80% ready, the readiness of the other three overpasses of the main passage is 40-55%. Three overpasses of the exit from and to the temporary storage warehouse are practically built.

60% ready railway overpass on the connecting branch of the Oktyabrskaya railway, finishing touches builders are bringing into the bridge over Likhoborka, and an underground pedestrian crossing is practically built. The installation of 5.3 thousand window blocks and the laying of engineering communications are 70% complete.

The results of the "seven years"

In total, from 2011 to 2017, 667 kilometers of roads, 190 pedestrian crossings and 199 artificial structures were built and put into operation in Moscow. The length of metropolitan roads increased by 16%.

Last year, the construction of a section of the North-Eastern Expressway from the Entuziastov Highway to the Izmailovsky Highway was completed, the reconstruction of the Schelkovskoye Highway within Moscow was completed, and two stages of modernization of the main transport artery of New Moscow, the Kaluga Highway, were completed.

Reconstructed and 14 large transport interchanges, including MKAD with Profsoyuznaya street. Only for last year 124 kilometers of roads, 37 artificial structures and 30 pedestrian crossings were built and put into operation. In 2018-2020, another 289 kilometers of roadway will appear in the capital, as well as 76 artificial structures and 42 pedestrian crossings.
