The largest graduation was in 2005 with 1185 graduates across the spectrum of specialties.

Training of future specialists was carried out in three specialties: "Industrial and civil construction", "Construction and road cars", "Car roads". The first head of the correspondence department Indeikin Anatoly Viktorovich, and the first dean correspondence faculty became Stanislav Mikhailovich Protodyakonov.

In 1985, the training of specialists was already carried out in seven areas. New specialties were added to the first three: "Agricultural construction"; "Water supply and sewerage"; "Automobiles and automobile economy"; "Economics and organization of building materials industry".

A huge role in the formation of the correspondence faculty, in the development of its structure and the formation of a coherent system of organization educational process played Lev Moiseevich Preger. Under him, educational and consulting centers (analogues of today's branches) were also created in the cities of Belovo and Achinsk.
