Yekaterinburg Theater Institute official. The procedure for passing a creative competition in the specialty "literary creativity", qualification "literary worker"

They say that in order for one actor to succeed, it is necessary that a thousand remain in obscurity. And of course, every applicant who comes to enter Theatre Institute, thinks that he is the same nugget. Every year, thousands of people crowd around a small building on Weiner, 2, dreaming of testing their strength. It is worth figuring out what awaits them during admission to the Yekaterinburg State Theater Institute (EGTI), as well as after graduation from this educational institution.

A bit of history

In the Urals long time did not seek to open creative universities. According to historical data, even the capital of the region, Yekaterinburg, was originally built as a factory city. EGTI (Yekaterinburg State Institute began to form at the end of the Second World War. Then it was a school, the university became an institute in 1985.

Vladimir Motyl once collaborated with the creative institute. Director Dmitry Astrakhan and actress Olga Drozdova began their careers there. The directing department was graduated from the great theatrical figure - Nikolai Kolyada. EGTI released famous playwrights Oleg Bogaev and Vasily Sigarev.

Whom to go to study?

Remarkably, this is the only higher educational theater institution in the Urals. Often it is put on a par with Moscow and St. Petersburg universities.

Every year, talented young people can try to enter the Yekaterinburg State Theater Institute. Faculties for admission:

  • acting art;
  • literary work (poets, prose writers, playwrights);
  • theater directing;
  • theater producers (formerly theater critics).

To enroll, you need to write an application addressed to the rector, provide originals and copies of the passport and certificate (diploma), SNILS, medical insurance policy, USE results, as well as a photo 3 * 4 (8 pieces).

In addition, you need to prepare for the entrance examinations, as well as be patient. As a rule, the majority of applicants fail the creative competition every year.

Everyone dreams of being an artist

Least of all lucky applicants who dream of becoming great artists. Talented youth come from all over the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Kurgan, Khanty-Mansiysk regions to enter the Yekaterinburg State Theater Institute (EGTI). Reviews show that units come as a result.

This is not surprising, usually a university is ready to accept only 20-30 people per year. budgetary basis. Up to 50 people per contract, 20-30 students per full-time department. Masters give preference to young men under 25 years old. Incidentally, rarely daytime education take girls over 20 years old.

The EGTI creative competition is mandatory for admission. Yekaterinburg State Theater Institute considers only those applicants who are ready to:

  • tell a poem, a fable, a prose monologue;
  • sing;
  • dance.

And do it better than hundreds of competitors. However, in this regard, the Ural university does not differ from the metropolitan ones.

For those who do not dream about the stage, but want to try themselves in the role of an actor, EGTI provides the opportunity to go through the "Hollywood Program". That is, a short tutorial acting skills For everyone. In addition, the institute has training courses.

Who is being hired as a director?

Having a secondary or higher specialized education, you can enter the directing department at the Yekaterinburg State Theater Institute. EGTI, of course, as an exception, accepts graduates of non-creative universities for this specialty. But he is extremely distrustful of young applicants. It is believed that only a person with a certain life experience can be a director.

What should the prospective student do:

  • pass a creative competition similar to acting;
  • put on a small scene;
  • make an analysis of a classic work;
  • pass an interview.

At the interview, a potential director shows how deeply he is familiar with the chosen profession.

The famous playwright and director Nikolai Vladimirovich Kolyada graduated from YSTI Directing Faculty. In Yekaterinburg, his famous private theater, the Kolyada Theater, operates. In addition, he tours Russia and Europe with the theater troupe.

Playwrights and writers

By the way, it is Nikolai Kolyada who conducts classes at the faculty with literary workers. Before him, there was no such specialty at the institute. The playwright, who has written more than 100 plays, which are still staged all over the world, annually recruits 5-10 future writers to his workshop. In parallel with him, about the same number of students are recruited by the poet and prose writer Yuri Viktorovich Kazarin into his workshop.

To qualify as a writer, you must:

  1. Submit creative work (from 24 pages of prose, poetry or dramatic work).
  2. Pass an interview with the master.

Also in student years such famous playwrights as Oleg Bogaev received a well-known literary prize- Antibooker. Sigarev's films are loved by the audience ("Top", "To Live", "Country of Oz"). And his wife (she studied at EGTI, but did not graduate from high school) is filming in the TV series Olga on TNT.

Many theaters in Russia and abroad stage plays by Yaroslava Pulinovich, Ekaterina Vasilyeva and Anna Baturina. All of them graduated from the Yekaterinburg State Theater Institute. EGTI is looking for new talent every year.

Is there a job after EGTI?

During their studies, students can show their Creative skills at the Educational Theatre. However, like most graduates of creative universities, young talents must be prepared for the fact that it will be extremely difficult to find a job after a diploma.

Perhaps the most demanded will be theatrical producers who graduated from YEGTI. The opinions of students in this regard differ. Some are sure that after the institute they are expected in the leading theaters of the capital. Others look at things more objectively and are ready to work in private theaters, at children's matinees, conduct weddings and corporate parties.

Nevertheless, many are tempted by the prospect of entering the Yekaterinburg State Theater Institute. EGTI provides its students with the opportunity to live in a comfortable hostel in the center of the Ural capital. And not far from two educational buildings of the university.

In October this year leadership has changed at the institute. Former rector Vladimir Babenko turned 70 years old, and according to the current law, he could no longer hold this position. He was replaced by art critic and culturologist Anna Glukhonyuk. Maybe the school is going to change.
