Buzludzha Memorial, Bulgaria // siv2203.livejournal.com

When I saw his photos, I had a thought: I wish I could get to this place!

// siv2203.livejournal.com

Buzludzha is the most famous "abandoned" of Eastern Europe although not everyone knows about it.

// siv2203.livejournal.com

It can be seen from everywhere, even at the entrance, from afar it rises like a lighthouse on top of a mountain. An excellent serpentine road leads to Buzludzha - it was built to last!

Ancient ruined temples attract the attention of historians and lovers of antiquities. These are places associated with religion and worship, worship and sacrifice. Our socialist past, if you look closely at it, left a lot of such artifacts: mausoleums with relics, which people devoutly worshiped, standing in lines for hours to get inside and look at the immortalized mummy. Instead of old temples and religions, they invented and built new ones - huge palaces of congresses, where the high priests gathered and decided the fate of the people, invented new legends for idolaters. In principle, nothing has changed, except perhaps the style and names. Now they are destroying the monuments of the past and putting up new ones, according to the new ideology. So it was and always will be. But some of the monuments remain untouched human hand. They are often located at a distance from people, they are gradually destroyed only by time and the elements of nature.

Buzludzha is the peak of the Balkan Mountains with a height of 1441 m, not far from the Shipka Pass. From 1944 to 1989 this peak was a shrine of the Bulgarian communists. And in 1981, a memorial house in honor of the BKP was built here. The monument was erected in honor of the founding of the Bulgarian socialist movement in 1891 and the battle of Hadji Dimitar's detachment with Turkish troops in 1868.

After the collapse of the Union and the fall of the power of Bulgarian President Todor Zhivkov in 1989, the monument was abandoned. The portraits of Lyudmila and Todor Zhivkov were deliberately destroyed. Copper jewelry was stolen. The structure is gradually collapsing, the vandals broke the glass, the mosaics and decoration were destroyed. Today, the monument is still abandoned and not one state institute not interested in the preservation and restoration of Buzludzha.

The successor to the CPB is the Bulgarian Socialist Party, but it doesn't really take on the responsibility of upholding its most important symbol. Although periodically arranges festivities and congresses of its members on a hill near a crumbling monument. The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) annually organizes rallies on the first Sunday of August (sometimes at the end of July), which gather thousands of followers - an average of 30 to 40,000 people! During the festival, a disco is suitable under open sky, the official part of the meeting and celebration. The official meeting always starts with the Bulgarian anthem and the international.

Can you imagine? In Bulgaria, socialism is still quite popular. And it is not surprising, because after the collapse of the Union, Bulgaria had a hard time, and only in 2004 did it economic condition was able to achieve the results of 1989, and all 15 years was in a state of stagnation. Even now, Bulgaria remains one of the poorest countries in the European Union. This is visible to the naked eye.

The monument continues to deteriorate, but it is so unusual and incredible in its scale that it would be perfect for music festivals, if someone undertook to restore it, while it is still not too late to do it.

You can get inside through just such a hole, which the authorities periodically weld regional center Stara Zagora. I was ready for unpleasant odors that often accompany vandalism and destruction. I was pleasantly surprised that there is nothing like it in Buzludzha. On the contrary, someone swept central hall and cleared away rubbish.

// siv2203.livejournal.com

The entrance to the tower-stele is walled up. Although this summer, several skydivers and photographers managed to get there.

But I think we were lucky that on our way we managed to get to this place. That there were no heavy snows that could prevent getting along the serpentine. weather and desire to see Buzludzha helped to fulfill our plans!

What I saw at the top of the mountain exceeded all my expectations. The impressions remained so strong that they still do not let go. It's great that there are still such places and phenomena that make us go somewhere thousands of kilometers away to feel this state again: WOW!!!

BULGARIAN COMMUNIST PARTY

(BKP). The foundations of the BKP were laid in 1891, when, on the initiative of the Bolg. revolutionary Marxist Dimitar Blagoev, the first socialist. the circles that arose in 1890 merged into Bolg. social democratic. party (BSDP). In 1903, at the 10th Congress of the party (since 1894 it was called the Bolg. Workers' Social Democratic Party (BRSDP)) the opportunist were expelled. elements, so-called. obshchedeltsy, or broad socialists led by Yanko Sakyzov, who preached the ideas of the class. cooperation with the bourgeoisie. Since that time, the party began to be called the Bulgarian Workers' Social Democratic Party (close socialists) - BRSDP (t. s). Of all the parties of the Second International, the Bulgarian Party of Narrow Socialists stood closest to the Bolsheviks. She waged an uncompromising struggle against the bourgeoisie and its agents in the labor movement ( different kind opportunists), resolutely defended the interests of the working class and all working people, was a Marxist party loyal to proletarian internationalism.

During World War I, the BRSDP (t. s.) occupied a firm internationalist position. position and strongly opposed the imperialist. war. Its deputies in parliament voted against the military. loans. However, close socialists did not fully adhere to Leninist positions on the question of war and revolution. They did not put forward the slogan of the transformation of the imperialist. war into a civil war and the defeat of their own. governments in this war. This was especially clearly manifested during the period of the soldiers' uprising in 1918. Close socialists also participated in the uprising - soldiers and officers, but on the whole the party did not lead this uprising, which was a spontaneous attempt to transform the imperialist. war to civil. The Close Socialist Party enthusiastically greeted Vel. Oct. socialist. revolution, became a propagandist of its ideas in Bulgaria. BRPDP (t. s.) adopted Active participation in the creation of the 3rd International and in 1919 joined it in in full force. On the XXII congress In May 1919 (Sofia), the party was renamed the Bulgarian Communist Party. party (narrow socialists) - BKP (comrade s). The XXII Congress of the BRSDP (tr. s.) simultaneously became the First Congress of the BKP (tr. s.). The congress adopted a "Programme Declaration", which was based on Lenin's ideas about imperialism and socialism. revolution. By the end of 1919, the party had 35,478 members. At the end of 1919 - early. 1920 BKP (ts.) led a powerful strike of transport workers and organized a 7-day general political. strike in support of the striking transport workers. The II Congress of the BKP (comrade s), held in Sofia in May-June 1920, adopted the program and determined the tactics of the party's work in district and community councils. The party consisted of 37,191 members during this period. (1921). III Congress (May 1921, Sofia) adopted a resolution on agr. question. The resolution proclaimed as necessary condition the victory of the revolution, the alliance of the working class and the working peasantry under the arm. the proletariat. At the Fourth Party Congress (June 1922, Sofia), the tactics of the united front, developed by V. I. Lenin, were adopted for leadership. However, in his practical work, the party was unable at that time to find suitable forms for applying this tactic to the Bulgarians. reality.

On June 9, 1923, a fascist took place in Bulgaria. coup. The BKP (ts.) took the erroneous position of "neutrality", considering the struggle between the fascists of Tsankov and the government of the Bulgarian Agricultural people's union like a fight between mountains. and sat down. bourgeoisie. As a result, they missed favorable conditions to defeat the monarcho-fascism. reaction, and the Communist Party was severely persecuted.

After the fascist During the coup, the Marxist core, headed by V. Kolarov and G. Dimitrov, gained the upper hand in the leadership of the party and achieved a change in its strategy and tactics. In 1923 the Communist Party called on the people to arm themselves. uprising against fascism. dictatorships. The uprising was defeated, because the party had not yet completely overcome some of the survivals of the Tesnyatsk and was unable to ensure a lasting alliance between the workers and peasants, but it played huge role in the development of the revolution. movement in Bulgaria. "... The uprising drew such a deep and bloody furrow between populace and the fascist bourgeoisie, which could no longer be filled with anything "(Dimitrov G., Political report of the Central Committee of the BRP (to) the Fifth Congress of the Party, in the book: Izbr. Proizv., vol. 2, M., 1957, p. 589) The anti-fascist people's uprising organized and led by the BKP in September 1923 was turning point in the development of the party from crowding to Bolshevism. Despite the defeat and the heavy casualties suffered, the BKP quickly regained its strength, reorganized itself on an illegal basis and boldly continued the struggle against the fascists. dictatorship, organizing a united front of the working people. major events in the life of the party in the first years after the defeat of the uprising were the Vitosha Conference of 1924 (the 1st illegal conference of the BKP) and the Moscow. meeting of the Central Committee in 1925. The conference rallied healthy forces parties. The meeting outlined a political line for the coming years. In 1927, along with the BKP(t. s), which operated underground, a legal Workers' Party (WP) was created under its leadership to use legal opportunities. AT a short time RP acquired means. influence among the masses (successes in the elections to the people's assembly in 1931, victory in the elections of community councilors in Sofia in 1932, etc.). By this time, the membership of the party had reached 35,000 members. In 1929-34, left sectarians seized leadership in the BKP (tr. s.). After the war.-Fash. coup in May 1934, when the government outlawed the RP, the left sectarians hastily decided to dissolve this party. In 1935-36 it was again restored, but already as an illegal party of the working class. Great value for the development of the party and the rallying of parties. personnel had the Leipzig trial of 1933. "At the Leipzig trial, Georgy Dimitrov, thanks to his heroic behavior, became the standard-bearer of the struggle against fascism and against the training imperialist war"("History of the Bolg. Communist Party", M., 1960, p. 304). The decisions of the VII Congress of the Comintern (1935) had big influence on the defeat of the left sectarianism in the BKP (t. s.) and it will be finished. Bolshevization. In 1938-39, the RP and BKP were merged into a single Bolg. Workers' Party (BRP; after Sept. 9, 1944 BRP (communists)). Despite the terror of the fascist dictatorship, the BRP, being underground, did not stop working to rally the masses, to organize them for the struggle against fascism. The party led all political. and economic speeches of the proletariat, was the organizer of the largest strikes of workers and the leader of the revolution. prof. movement. During the 2nd World War, the BRP waged an energetic struggle against drawing Bulgaria into the war, for a conclusion with the Soviets. Union of the pact of friendship and mutual assistance. After treacherous attack fash. Germany on the USSR, the party headed for the deployment of weapons. fight against German-Fash. occupiers and their Bolg. agents. On the initiative of the BRP was created (1942) Fatherland. front, which was a military alliance of all patriotic. anti-fascist. the forces of the country. In 1943, a people's liberation department was created. rebel army deployed fighting against the Nazi occupiers and their Bulgarians. servants. In the ranks of the BRP by 1944, there were approx. 25 thousand steadfast party members, hardened in the long-term struggle against fascism. With the introduction of owls. troops to Bulgaria, the party raised Bolg. the people are armed. uprising (September 9, 1944), which overthrew the monarcho-fascist. dictatorship and opened new era in the history of Bulgaria - the era of socialism.

Under the leadership of the Bolg. people carried out radical democratic. and socialist. transformations. Nar. pr-in liquidated fascist. org-tion, canceled antinar. laws, cleared the state. apparatus and army from the reactionaries. elements. In 1946, the agr. reform, as a result of a swarm of 150 thousand bezzem. and little earth. peasants received land. In Sept. In 1946, the monarchy was abolished and Bulgaria declared a Nar. republic. Dec. 1947 laws were passed on the nationalization of industry and banks. Dec 4 1947 adopted a new constitution.

May - Aug. 1948 Social Democratic the party of broad socialists (BRSDP sh. S.) joined Bolg. Labor Party (Communists), on the basis of the recognition by the Social Democrats of ideological and organizational. principles of Marxism-Leninism. This put an end to all divisions within the ranks of the working class. Dec 18-25 In 1948, the Fifth Congress of the BRP(k) was held in Sofia. The congress took a course towards the industrialization and electrification of the country, cooperation and mechanization with. x-va and decided on a 5-year plan for the development of Nar. x-va - the plan for building the foundations of socialism in Bulgaria. At the congress, it was decided to rename the BRP (k) to Bolg. communist party (BKP).

Bulgaria's first 5-year development plan was successfully implemented in 4 years. The 6th Congress of the BCP (February 25 - March 3, 1954, Sofia) approved the directives for the second 5-year development plan for Bulgaria for 1953-57.

The BKP accepted with satisfaction the decisions of the 20th Congress of the CPSU (1956). At the meeting held in Apr. 1956 plenum of the Central Committee of the BKP, it was found that the conclusions from the decisions and work of the XX Congress of the CPSU, taking into account specific Bolg. conditions "should form the basis of the work of the Central Committee and all Party bodies and organizations." The plenum strongly condemned the personality cult and outlined measures to eliminate the perverse methods of leadership associated with it in all areas of the party, state, and household. and ideological. work. The delegation of the BKP participated in the meeting of representatives of the Communist Party. and socialist workers' parties. countries (November 14-16, 1957, Moscow), which adopted the Declaration. Together with other communist delegations. and workers' parties, the BCP delegation also adopted the Peace Manifesto.

On June 2-7, 1958, the 7th Congress of the BCP was held in Sofia. The party had by this time 484,255 members. and candidates. The congress summed up the results of the enormous work done by the Bulgarians. people in all areas of the socialist. construction. As a result of the implementation of the second 5-year plan, Bulgaria has turned from a backward agrarian. countries into an industrial-agrarian high level prom. pro-va and major socialist. with. x-th. It was in the main completed cooperation with x-va. The congress heard and discussed the report of the Central Committee, adopted directives on the third 5-year plan for the development of the Nar. Republic of Bulgaria in 1958-62, approved some changes in the charter of the party. At the congress it was emphasized that socialism in Bulgaria from now on "is the undividedly dominant and the only command force throughout the national economy.

During the implementation of the third 5-year plan, the Bolg. the people, led by the BKP, have achieved this. success in the construction of material and technical. bases of socialism. The volume of prom. production in 1960 increased 12 times compared to 1939; the ratio between prom. and s.-x. production reached 70:30 instead of 24.8:75.2 in 1939.

The delegation of the BKP participated in the Meeting of representatives of the communist. and workers' parties in November. 1960 in Moscow and together with other communist. and the workers' parties adopted the Statement of the communist. and workers' parties, as well as an Appeal to the peoples of the whole world.

The BCP fully approved all the decisions of the 22nd Congress of the CPSU and the Program of the CPSU adopted at it. The plenum of the Central Committee of the BCP, held on November 28-29, 1961, in connection with the 22nd Congress of the CPSU, declared that the BCP would be guided in its activities by the Program of the CPSU. The plenum noted that the XXII Congress of the CPSU showed the need to continue to wage an irreconcilable, principled struggle against revisionism, dogmatism and sectarianism, which undermine the unity and combat effectiveness of the parties, the entire international. communist and the labor movement and the world socialist. systems. The plenum of the Central Committee of the BCP stated that in Bulgaria the struggle against the personality cult of Stalin and Chervenkov was not carried through to the end. The plenum decided to remove V. Chervenkov from the Politburo of the Central Committee of the BKP, since Chervenkov did not draw the proper conclusions from the decisions of the April (1956) plenum of the Central Committee on the eradication of the personality cult. The Central Committee of the BKP deems it necessary, the resolution of the plenum notes, to continue the line towards the democratization of societies. life, to improve the state. and owner apparatus, part. guides. "The CPSU," the resolution of the plenum says, "always considered its urgent need keep pace with the great Communist Party of the Soviet Union - forward detachment world communist movement, study its inexhaustible world-historical experience, steadily follow its path. In this the BCP has seen and still sees the main condition for the victory of socialism and communism in People's Republic Bulgaria".

The BKP is built on the principles of democracy. centralism. Her supreme body is the party congress, and in the intervals between congresses - the Central Committee. For political leadership the work of the Central Committee elected the Politburo and to conduct current work- Secretariat. In accordance with adm. division in Bulgaria there are district, city, community and district (in Sofia) BKP committees.

As of 1 Jan. In 1961, the BKP had 515,175 members and candidates. First Secretary of the Central Committee of the BKP - T. Zhivkov.
